Noise Learning Deck 1

Gripeaway 13

Noise normally wants to cycle viruses in order to mill the opponent. Cache is pretty core for Noise and we don't have that, so we had to make do as we could.

For programs we went with 3 Darwin, 2 Corroder, 1 Mimic, and 1 Yog.0. The best program setup for an Anarch with your cards would probably be like 2/2/2 Corroder, Mimic, and Yog but then we wouldn't really want to play Noise anyway so might as well go all in on Noise which in this case means Darwin. If we're going to play Darwin, we might as well play 3 in order to make sure we can get it growing earlier in the game and to take advantage of the benefit of an AI being able to get through anything. We don't have access to Virus Breeding Ground to help make Darwin work, but we do have Surge. With Surge, we can play Darwin and the next turn when it gains 1 counter play Surge and run with a Darwin that has 3 strength, which should be enough to get through many things when combined with Datasucker, Ice Carver, and Parasite. If we have Grimoire already installed, Darwin can run at 3 strength the turn we install it with Surge. Otherwise Corroder, Mimic, and Yog.0 are just there to get through things they can get through more efficiently.

For viruses we have the aforementioned Darwin, obviously, but also 3 Datasucker, 3 Parasite, 3 Imp, 2 Medium, and 2 Deep Thought. Datasucker and Parasite are just extremely efficient cards in general and also viruses for Noise. 3 Imp is probably 1 too many in general but we don't have as many cheap viruses to cycle with this set of cards so 3 will have to do. The idea is to use both counters then sell it to Aesop's ASAP. Noise is a milling deck so even trashing cards we don't really care about with Imp can be worth it if we have an Aesop's in play to sell it, just to go through the Corp deck faster. Medium is our source of multi-access for when our milling plan doesn't work out. Deep Thought is an interesting card. It's not very good, but to begin with it's a 1-credit virus that we can install and then immediately sell to Aesop's the next turn, netting us 2 credits and 1 mill, which is as good as we're going to get with this Noise. Obviously we can do the same with Datasucker but we don't ever want to have to sell Datasuckers. Otherwise, Deep Thought is interesting with Noise because if we do actually manage to get it active then we get to see what the card is we mill each time with Noise's ability, meaning we'll know when it's worth running archives for agendas.

Most other things are self-explanatory. 1 Ice Carver because most of our breakers can't increase in strength. I'm not sure if Wyldside is worth it without Adjusted Chronotype but it's worth trying. You can sell it to Aesop's when you need the 4th click more than you need the 2 card draw, but otherwise a steady flow of cards should help fuel the virus-based milling. If you don't like the Wyldside's in the end, you can just end up replacing all 3 of them with 3 Quality Times.
