Went 3-1 with this in the Store Championship in Portugal.

First, HB FA - Won

@0j3t3c4l0r I dont even care that they were able to see what I draw. It happened more than once, first click run on a server, see the top card, agenda, second click run R&D and steal it. Quite fun actually.

Congrats on the wins! Couple questions:

Is Public Sympathy mostly for BOOM! protection?

Did you find the Patron more useful than a 3rd Temüjin Contract? When I tried out Patron in another deck I was very disappointed, since those 3 credits are a huge tempo hit, whereas Temujin is nuts. I can see it being better in this deck, though, with Always Be Running/Find the Truth/Datasucker.

Do you need a full 3x Dr. Lovegood? He seems like a natural 2x.

What was your reasoning on your directive choices per matchup?

Answering your questions:

  • In Portugal's meta there is a lot of killing, so Public Sympathy is not only for BOOM!, but also Scorched Earth and Traffic Accident. And I also had New Angeles City Hall, so you see how the focus on burning my ass was.

  • Patron made a big difference, making use of Always Be Running and Temujin Contract, because if I can't take credits, I could use more cards.

  • I agree with you 3x DR. Lovegood might be too much.

  • First match I went with what I was comfortable with. I the second I wanted to try out Find the Truth seeing that it was a glacier deck I wanted to make my runs count, and by knowing what would come next I could prepare and/or run. In my third match, knowing my opponent was strong I went back on what I was comfortable, my mistake, I should have gone with Find the Truth. And in the last match, I corrected that mistake and it actually went well. Patron with Neutralize All Threats vs CTM it is a blast.

What does Patron do with NAT against CTM?

@AsteriskCGY I guess the theory is that you can run on a remote, get Patron cards and not have to worry about trashing anything because you don't access any corp cards. Then, and I'm less sure about this part, because the first access has been replaced by the card-draw, subsequent accesses don't make Neutralize All Threats fire (just as with Salsette Slums and CTM.
