@greylin Can you remove that last suggestion, please? I get there's no actual malice, it's all part of the joke, just think (even in satire/protest) suggesting anyone kill themselves ever is crossing a line.

Seconding @Shockeh As someone that's been through a few episodes of pretty bad depression, the suggestion to kill oneself isn't particularly constructive or helpful.

Regardless of presentation style I agree with the problem of Friends and Museum existence.

Please edit the deckname and description. Suicide jokes are not ok.

@Shockeh @fancywookiee @cursor The fact that there was no less than 5 full pages of gifs captioned with kill yourself indicates to me that I didn't come up with anything new. That said, I respect the spirit of your comments and I can also support the notion that even though NRDB is part of the internet, it can still set a higher standard. Personally, I don't feel it's a legitimate concern or I would never have wasted my time writing, but if people really think there's a chance that someone is going to read my deck commentary and seriously consider suicide, it's not worth editing a joke. I'll just take it down.

@greylin, the point is not that your text will provoke people to suicide, but that suicide is not a joking matter, and there are members of the community for whom this is not in the least funny.

@greylin For me, it was just the final note suggesting anyone does, I got the joke otherwise. I agree with you, I like that NRDB generally sets a 'better standard' than the sea of bad that the Internet otherwise is.

Just for my 2c, I'd be happy to see the deck aside from that one point.

The dumb 'joke' wasn't going to make me kill myself, but as someone with a great deal of experience dealing with the urge to do just that, I don't appreciate jokes making light of it. And 'other places on the internet make the joke' is a very poor metric for what is acceptable. We are indeed trying to hold the ANR community to a higher standard than those places, that higher standard is intended to make the community welcoming and friendly. But thank you for taking notice of the comments, you should feel free to repost/edit the deck without the suicide jokes, no other objection was made.
