What do we do if everyone and their mother is teched to the gills against assets?
Wrong answer: we piss off to play some "fair" "rush" "tempo" ID, as Garfield intended.
Sigma + W + ratio answer: we BECOME the FAIR RUSH TEMPO ID.
If the runner screws with our shit, WE BEEF OUR SHIT UP.
Want to trash a Cohort or a Phật? Sure honey, don't forget to break a Boto on top.
I have been experimenting with various AU Co. builds since the Elevation release. The initial all-out asset spam trap kill decks quickly faded in favor of more ice-based builds, and to me the next logical step was playing ice which actually was a pain in the ass for the runner to deal with instead of just gearchecks. The problem I couldn't solve lay in the econ section and managing agenda flow early on: it seemed that if the runner got an early head start, it was impossible to claw the game back in a reasonable amount of time before losing on centrals.
That being said, I wasn't the only one exploring the same deckbuilding space. A week ago, on the other side of the globe, enkoder was flying to Minnesota to play in the Off the Grid 2025 Championship. That was when he had the idea for this list, building and bringing it to the tournament with barely any practice. The results quickly spoke for themselves: he was 2nd in Swiss, overall 5th after the cut, struggling a bit to hold his ground against an influx of Sables.
I scouted the list online, and to my amazement it was 80% of what I was trying to build myself, except apparently working pretty well. enkoder cut all the slow cards which weren't doing much and only kept the most swingy ones. He topped it off with an elegant solution to both the agenda flow AND econ issues I was experiencing. 3x Seamless Launch allowed for early Offworld pushes from low credit totals.
I tested the deck a bit and it quickly became apparent I was going to play it in the Americas Megacity. I'm still unconvinced by the code gate slot but didn't have much time to come up with a better solution, so this is just Kodie's list card for card, which he graciously let me publish.
My low Crim expectations at the megacity paid off, and I took the list to a commendable result of 4-1, eventually dropping a game in the losers finals to our goat Augustus who as usual seemed to have my number with a nightmare inducing deck of their own.
As a short closing remark, this is the closest I've felt gameplay wise to my late bae Fantasy Basketball Asa.
Shoutouts to The TAI Breakers, my extended family of vassals under the guidance of my liege, and Amarum who had to borrow a laptop at his friend's place to jam a few games vs me just before the cut instead of hanging out with said friend. Man's got his priorities straight. ❤️
ALWAYS BE BEEFING.
