Titanomachy

LynxMegaCorp 1343

In a desperate attempt to win games as Corp (and through encouragement by Stinson) I threw this together, and the win record has been insane. As of writing, about 12 / 15 games won, at least 11 of them with BOOM!. The lucky Runners saw their econ / Film Critics / Siphons earlier than I could tag them (and, to give credit, one particular Andromeda played the board pretty well).

There isn't much to say about the cards, but Bryan Stinson is worth discussing.

Potentially, you can reach 16 credits turn 1: Hedge Fund, install Bryan Stinson, activate BS (hah, gotta use him in Blue Sun for the lols) for 9 credits.

Other than that, you want to install ice / Bryan ASAP. Just one trigger is well worth it (2 clicks / 2 credits for 9 credits on a Hedge Fund (7 credits over 2 clicks), but nothing feels better than clicking for 15 credits with Restructure. Oftentimes I'll overdraw and trash a Restructure just to prepare it. Nabbing 15 from one Restructure is more than worth it, since it nets 5 credits on its own (if you can reach 10 in the first place.)

Stinson's "ignore all cost" effect can be devastating.

Included a single Blue Level Clearance for those times when you need to dig; neat little interaction with Stinson: you won't pay the extra click through his effect the second time around.

In just about every game I was able to use Stinson at least once, even after the Runner knew he was / could be on the board (is it Stinson, or a Prisec?) Do you set up or risk faceplanting a Boom!?

Foxfire is the most recent include and is there solely to remove Net Murcer, which can pose a few problems if they manage to build it up. If not facing NM, Foxfire can target other trouble cards like:

Scarcity is there because most Runners rely on Resources. Play it as soon as you can if you suspect them.

Friends can renew your Crisiums, Prisecs, Stinsons and lost Ice. Don't leave home without it.

As far as operations go, Consulting Visit is the MVP. It fetches what you need, when you need it. You're allowed to run singletons and not worry about whether you'll draw them soon enough. You're free to toss a Foxfire for specific bullet operations / utility.

Paywall Implementation has an interesting place in this deck as a last-resort current wipe. You can play it with Stinson; it won't be removed from play until it is trashed normally.

Ice distribution favors a middle ground. Taxing enough to hinder most runners while cheap enough to rely on often. Sifr can only do so much to this suite; most Ice have low strength and they can only trash so many before they run out of Parasites or facecheck Macrophage unprepared.

Macrophage is a recent include to 1) combat Sifr and 2) add ice to the deck. Slap it on R&D and watch non-link runners regret ever installing Medium. Macrophage could be Cyberdex Virus Suite; they both fill roles. You determine which benefits you more. Sturdy anti-virus ice or fluid and quick purging.

Agendas are the most effective for this ID / build. Atlas wins games, too.

Weyland is back in the game. Feedback / comments appreciated.

Favorite moment: Best Defense a loaded Plascrete into BOOM! (Oh, Midseasons into HHN is fun, too.)

Potential changes:

Snoop for Data Raven Friends for Targeted Marketing Foxfire for Salem's Hospitality

And Snoop is my current 2 influence worth of janky lol'slot.

Its fun, for sure.

As I see it, you only make full use of your ID ability with Project Atlas. The occasional extra Firmware Updates token can be put to a Mausolus, but that doesn't seem to be that important.

So, if Snoop is just lol, you could replace it to get down to 15 inf and switch ID.

Is the Titan+Atlas combo alone worth it to play the ID?
Could you make more benefit from any other Weyland ID?
I'm just curious...

Argus is an option for additional on-steal tax for a stronger Midseason / HHN, but I don't see any other ID being as useful. Blue Sun requires shifting of ice, BABW's ability grants less credits (14 if you play every operation twice and over many turns) than a single Stinson Restructure, which happens often. There aren't enough remotes (rarely more than one) for Gagarin to tax effectively.

I prefer Titan's ability. Being able to tutor any card has done a LOT of work for me. I'v even overadvanced for 2 or 3 tokens. And those two influence held by Snoop easily become any 2-influence answer for what plagues you.

@Lynx Kuroneko Thanks for the answer.

A singleton Mark Yale is common in Titan - do you not feel like you'd need the money now that you have Bryan?

How is Veritas working for you? Seems decent. It feels like a variant on Errand Boy, which I enjoy because of the 3 subs.

@Krams If it were me, I'd drop the Snoop for another BLC because I like the Bryan interaction.

@PureFlight I have yet to desire Yale. Scoring agendas is my last priority, and if I score Atlas I'm using that token for the kill. Firmware was the latest addition and is there just for the Mausolus buff.

Veritas is fantastic. Taxing Mongoose for 4 and Mimic for 3 each time, assuming no link. Always happy to rez it.

@KramsSure thing! Make your adjustments, take it for a spin, enjoy the BOOM!

I think data raven would help more than Snoop. This deck looks like it will struggle with some temujin spam. I think Data Raven will help or at least slow them down a little. Temujin out, hits Raven and take the tag either spend a click to remove or play something like networking, either way that click spent on something other than an extra 4 credits should help. If they remove the tag with something like Aaron you can potentially hit them with HHN harder or at least trace to get rid of the Temujin money. Foxfire would deal with hunting ground easily.

@The Shiny One Temujin and Arron Marron alone have put a stop to this deck's effectiveness. Magnum Opus can only take the Runner so far. Get that Scarcity early and ice earlier, lol.
