The Mystery Shack (aka Conspireavercyshop) v1.0

Shiiuga 1266

Grunkle Aesop

I've been tinkering with this deck for about a week now, and against all expectations it's actually been doing quite well. It's been winning about 2/3 to 3/4 of its games on Jnet casual which is about as good as you can expect for an Exile deck. I expect it would fall flat on its face against CtM.

It's a fairly standard Reavershop deck but the breakers are all from Omar's Conspiracy suite for maximum reinstall value. This pairs well with Exile: Streethawk's ability by drawing you at least one card whenever you make a run with your rig up.

I was running it originally without Reaver and with Astrolabe making up the draw but Reaver is much more consistent. Unfortunately its addition adds extra pressure on MU so I've been messing with the 2MU consoles. I started with Mirror but I was almost never using the restored credit, so I ditched it, skipped right over Maya and went for The Toolbox which pays back its tempo hit pretty quickly in recurring credits.

The deck makes sick bank and draws so much between Exile's ability, Aesop, Reaver and Beth. You rarely need to install more than one breaker a turn so with 2x Sahasrara up you can install for free on the approach and then sell to Aesop's Pawnshop before doing it all over again. Why am I telling you this? You all know how it works by now. Add in the Technical Writers and you're rolling in it. Certainly at least enough to keep making runs.

2 copies of each breaker so you can bait our any Ark Lockdowns that might be lurking early, especially if you can't get Aesop out straight away. Snowball is just a backup to Paperclip for if it gets locked down. If you're more confident in your ability to manage when your breakers hit the bin then you could go down to 1 of each and add in Cache and Scheherazade for added $. That'll be my next testing ground.

It's a shaper deck so it doesn't win fast, but if you can get past the mid game and slow the corp down a bit by locking servers and forcing them to install more ice you can generally put them off long enough to finish setting up and then it's pretty much just a waiting game.

Could maybe do with tag removal/avoidance, damage protection and more multiaccess but all that shit's expensive and slots are limited.

I've been playing with a similar deck without the Reaver. I think Chameleon would be a better choice over Snowball, and you could then consider going down to 1 of each breaker, as Chameleon with LLDS can be backup for any you lose, and doubles as a weird econ engine sometimes if you have multiple Tech Writers installed. Charizard has been very valuable in mine and Cold Read has been great too, as you don't really care about trashing a program at the end of a run. What's Scavenge for? Toolbox is something I'd overlooked, may well give it a go, was on Maya previously.

I think you're right about Chameleon actually. Good shout.

Scavenge is for reupping your breakers to max strength for free if you know you're going to need two at high strength and you can only get one in the bin with Aesop. Also adds money on to Tech Writers as a cheeky bonus if they;re installed. Could probably drop down to a 1 or 2 of though to fit in the Cold Reads.

If you clear up 2 inf from dropping Black Orchestra (maybe with a Chameleon) you could switch over to 2x of The Gauntlet.

@PureFlightThe main problem there is that in a lot of cases the conspiracy breakers are actually kind of inefficient at breaking multisub ice. Anything with 3 subs usually means one will fire. Not a huge deal for stuff like Ichi 1.0 with a fairly weak final sub but it means the Gauntlet would be a bit redundant alongside them. If anything it'd be better to use the 2 influence on e3 Feedback Implants.

I've done some testing with 1 of each breaker and a Chameleon and it's been pretty poor. You lose consistency of drawing them in addition to the SMC and when they are out they're competing for MU space with too many programs. There's already plenty to sell to Aesop when the breakers/Daily Casts are out and selling other stuff seems to get in the way of strength boosting with LLDS Processor from the reinstalls.
