Connected Andy -- 1st in Swiss, 2nd Overall @ Level Up SC

Here's my Andy deck that I took to the latest store championship I played in. It took me to my first ever top cut at a championship level tournament. It's identical to the list I posted earlier. I'm posting it again because NetrunnerDB doesn't let me delete the old one or update the title.

1st Game: Playing against Ajar's CI7. This was the first of two games against his CI7 deck. I get a subpar starting hand if I were playing against any other deck. I keep it because I have my Medium and one Siphon. He mulligans and gets no ICE. He BLC's into no ICE. I Siphon, lay down my Medium and run. I steal one agenda and then I see his Mother Goddess. He opts to put his Mother Goddess on HQ and I continue Medium digging. He keeps drawing and installing CVS on R&D. Eventually I dig deep enough and steal the winning agenda.

Game 2: Playing against my good friend Tony's RP glacier deck. On a side note, this RP deck always seems to tilt me. It's gotten even worse now that he's included FIHP's in the deck to recur his Batty's and Caprice's. Still, I manage to get an OK start before he locks me out of all three centrals. At that point I'm out of money and I leave him an opening to score a Nisei. I then Hostage for Kati and manage to claw my way back. I manage to top deck a couple agendas off R&D, I win a Batty psi game to Siphon him and I shutdown his Tsurugi. He needs money and Celebrity Gift's and shows me he has two agendas in hand. I then Legwork him for the win. I breathe a sigh of relief having beat the deck that beats me so often.

Game 3: Playing against CTM. For some reason I don't mulligan when I'm holding no Employee Strike's, no On the Lam's, no Hostage's and no Aaron. Of course I don't find any of those cards nearly quick enough. And of course he EOI's me twice. I've gone tag-me at this point and I still manage to get to six points. I haven't found my Medium and I'm top-decking his R&D. My biggest next mistake was letting a Sensie's fire three times letting him bury his agendas so he can find his Psycho to get to seven.

Game 4: Playing against an NEH asset spam, Team Sponsorship, Hybrid NEH. I have two Sec Testing's down and I'm trying to keep up with his assets. I manage to keep up for a little bit but eventually I can't keep up and I sacrifice board state in the process. He feeds me an Explodapalooza and I also manage to score four more points. He's at zero and I'm at six. However, his board is out of control at this point and I've managed to lose my Gordian to a Rototurret. He gets to six points behind a four-ICE deep remote that has a rezzed SSCG. On his sixth point he Team Sponsorship's his one last card in HQ into the remote which I'm guessing is an Explodapalooza. I have a Corroder and a Mongoose on the board. I Sure Gamble and Sec Test to get to 15 credits, I install Femme and guess on one of the pieces of ICE, and then I run. he rezzes two more Rototurrets and I have just enough credits to get in.

Using Mordeqai's Alcatraz deck, I'm top seed after Swiss.

Top Cut Game 1: I beat my round 4 opponent with my corp deck.

Top Cut Game 2: I lose to Ajar's Sifrfork deck.

Top Cut Game 3: I rematch my round 3 opponent's CTM deck. This time I keep an appropriate starting hand given I have Sec Test, Desperado, Employee Strike and On the Lam. I very quickly handle all his remotes and I keep up on him on credits. I never find my Medium but it doesn't matter. I have R&D lock on him, I've Siphon'ed him and I've avoided his EOI with On the Lam. It's only a matter of time at this point and I eventually top deck the winning agenda off R&D.

Finals Game 1: Facing Ajar's CI7 again. This time even with a mulligan I can't find my Medium or my Siphon's. I dig and dig but I can't find any of my Siphons. He has a rezzed Mother Goddess on HQ. I have a Femme in hand but with him holding 20 cards it's useless without my Siphons. I make the mistake of running R&D trying to top deck agendas and in the process I see his Power Shutdown. Afterwards one of my friends tells me that I should have waited to run until I had all my Siphons. I don't know that it would have made a difference as he had 25+ credits but at least I wouldn't have made the mistake.

That ended my first ever top cut tournament experience. On the day I played with so many great people. I played against a couple of good friends and a couple of people who I now consider friends. I was so happy to have done so well. I learned a metric ton about playing Netrunner. I can't wait to use what I've learned at the next SC.
