Railgun - 2017 Imperial Outpost Store Champs - 1st Place

A few changes off from the Railgun deck I ran a couple weeks ago: https://netrunnerdb.com/en/decklist/40273/railgun-2017-desert-sky-games-store-champs-2nd-place. Based on Dien's list (link is in the previous list) from Worlds. Also see previous list for more details on how the deck runs.

Changes were -1 SAU -1 Data Raven -2 Wraparound +1 Quandary +1 Macrophage +2 Vanilla

For SAU, I really only want it late game since most runners just trash it before I have the combo ready, so I felt like 2 was fine. I also realized that cheaper ice helps you a lot more for going fast, hence the ice changes. You just want to keep them out for a few turns and then you'll usually win. Keeping 2 Data Raven was a mistake; Dien's original ice suite is the way to go I think (with putting in at least 1 macrophage). If a player decides to yolo through a raven, you have no tag punishment barring Boom and I lost 1 game on the day due to this happening with Medium.

For the tournament, it went 3-1. First game was against Eddie Kim which is obviously super scary, but I found 3 ice early and he didn't realize what was going on until HQ was locked down. Second game was against Whizzard. He dropped Slums turn one, and HQ was open, so I had to pitch the Boom. Later on, I made a huge mistake where I put raven on R&D instead of Archangel, and he dropped medium, didn't care about raven, and won the game a turn later. That play made me realize that raven isn't actually that great in this deck, so I'll probably go -2 Data Raven +1 Quandary +1 Little Engine next time around.

Third round of Swiss was an ID, so next game was first game of the cut. Went against Account Siphon/DLR Whizz. This game was interesting because he was running Obelus/Josh so in theory he could get out of range, but he only took 1 tag off Josh and opted not to take more tags the rest of the game. I feel like he could have just sat there, taken tags and drawn up. He had WNP and Fall Guys, so that would have been an interesting race for me trying to trash Josh (that I still win I think), but I ended up just scoring BN and 15 Minutes and then 24/7 Boom the old fashioned way.

Last game for the deck was in the final with 1 loss, so a must-win. Same guy I lost to in Swiss, but this time I found macrophage early which helps the matchup a ton. Ended up comboing out without much trouble.

Always a fun deck, would recommend. Games are super quick which is nice. I brought my Destiny starter decks and got to show 2 opponents the game since we would end the round with 40-45 minutes left.

what is Hatchet Job for?

@Dazzling: Its needed for anything that keeps you from tagging/bagging like NACH or Paparazzi. You just have to make sure you're up on credits which isn't too difficult when you have a smug runner who thinks they're safe. What's great is nothing can prevent you from bouncing something to hand (Fall Guys don't help), so this card always gives you an out.
