Tech deck against everyone! (Alphaspel SC winner)

Greek Geek 461

I piloted the deck in a 16 (or 18) person tournament. 4 rounds, top 4. First in Swiss. Pretty solid deck won against HB: Architects of tomorrow, Titan Transnational, CtM x2, EtF, PU. Dropped a single game against EtF when I didn't drew the breakers soon enough and lost a psi game for the winning agenda.

Even compared to Whizzard, I think it is one of the best archetypes currently. Pretty standard stuff. But amazing. I do not think there is a single bad card in the deck. The power level is at least above the average.

In a competitive environment you play the best game you can. And use the best cards there are. Like 2 of the most broken cards in the game. Sifr and Yog together. I think Sifr is the best criminal console after Desperado. The best criminal rig is always imported from Anarchs. And although I love the card, I really hope that it's getting erratad. Play it while you have time to enjoy it. Getting past Tollbooth for 3 or Archangel for 0 is just wonderful. Does a lot of work against Fairchilds too. It gets past 1.0 and 2.0 for free, and the 3.0 you can lower with Sifr. Useful against Aiki. Completely destroys Enigma. The list goes on and on.

Vamadeva is there first and foremost as a solution to Lotus Field on remote servers, and secondly as an enabler for Siphons. Not a lot hard-EtR multi sub Ice around.

Employ strike is the best runner current currently (see what I did there?). Good against most of the strong meta decks with the exception of Railgun. CtM? check, IG? check PU? check Etf? check CI? check.

Aaron Maron. What can I say for this card? I love criminals and I am overjoyed the got such a good tool. At first I though it was maybe too strong but I am not so sure now. It is the answer too CtM and makes the match up fairer. It is also 3 card against 5 compared to Takesi's Castle and useful in more match ups.

On the Lam is an amazing card. I really like it's design. Extremely useful against the meta. First of all Aaron and On the Lam kill Railgun. It works against CtM. Really, you should just install it, it's the perfect counter for HHN and you get to keep your Aaron Counters fro Siphons and Data Ravens. PU and Ronin kills in various jinteki decks? Wayland? Just install the card.

Hades Shard is an obvious counter against CI and Railgun, and even IG if they don't expect it. It works well as a surprise but you can also drop it from your starting hand if you Temujin archives, letting you gain more $ running archives more times. During the first round.

The economy package is more or less standard. Carrer Fair Temujin, dirty laundry and sec test. Siphon is amazing when it actually nets you 10$ plus 2 cards. Kati for the glacier match ups. Only 2 Sure Gambles because really you do not need more.

PS: I think the deck would do wonders with Leela too. Go up to 3 Earthrise and Sure Gables, cut a Career fair and something else to find the space.

One change I would make with hindsight is Bank Job instead of Security Testing. 7$ for 2 clicks instead of the 2$ that are too slow nowadays. On the other hand: sec test works perfect on archives and RD with Medium

@Greek Geek 2 Bank Job instead of Security Testing? I have played a bit with the list and it seems to be ok with Security Testing. Should try the change though. Cheers.

@sdxbbs Tapwrm was really helpful when played on the 1st or 2nd turn. If you notice there are only 2 Sure Gamble. It was the least useful card I could cut. If I played Leela Patel: Trained Pragmatist I would cut a Career Fair instead. It is essentially better than Sure Gamble OR it gives you another 4 extra clicks. Very few players will purge with a Temüjin Contract on the table.

The pressure it creates the first rounds is so huge I think 3x was well worth the spots

@ZiNOS Sec test is amazing with medium. A very common power turn is sec test RD 1. Medium 2. Temujin RD 3-4 run RD for 10 (minus costs) and 2 cards. In the end I think it depends a lot on play style
