She ain't got no Money in the Bank (3-1 Chez Geeks SC)

Feed 10

This deck isn't really that great, but it's so much fun to play.

Game plan: Make money. Laugh at the runner for having no money. Let them make some money, and then snatch it away from them again. Make them cry as while you Scrooge McDuck swan dive into your giant pool of credits. Score out behind servers they can't get into or blow up their house once you're done playing with your food.

Did they just access an Explode-A-Palooza? Too bad there's a Red Herring in that server. Enjoy 5 free credits if they can't afford to steal it, or a 10 credit swing if they can.

If there's an NAPD in there instead, it'll cost them 9 to steal, or an extra click plus however many credits it takes to get through your Data Raven + Data Ward gauntlet. Now that they're broke, Midseasons them and nuke their neighbourhood.

Sure would be nice for them if they were able to trash that Sensie that's letting you get all these operations, wouldn't it? Too bad it's on top of a Mumbad Virtual tour. Good luck trashing that without putting yourself at the mercy of HHN.

Did you just draw a Data Ward after you've placed all your Data Ravens? Not a problem- install it over one of your Data Ravens, and use Friends in High Places to re-install the Data Raven. Have fun getting through the servers now.

All the while you're draining their credits by rezzing your advertisements (friendly reminder that Pop-up Window is also an advertisement) and threatening a 7-point victory.

This deck went 3-1 at the Chez Geeks Store Champ in Montreal (this was a couple weeks ago- I'm late on the writeup), beating out SIFR Kate (opponent slipped up and went low on credits one turn, which was all I needed to HHN-Boom them), 2x Whizzard (them being able to trash your assets doesn't change the fact that they're broke and prone to HHN. One of the Whizzards went on to win the SC, so I felt pretty good about that win in particular), and losing to Andy (piloted by Andrej from the Metropole Grid! Shoutout to them).

I didn't place well in the SC because my super janky Runner deck went 0-4. Feelsbadman.

What I would change:

  • Scarcity of Resources is kind of a flex slot. This deck doesn't really need currents (Rumor Mill only stops Jackson, Employee Strike is a mild inconvenience), but it gives me a better early game matchup against Criminals. I've also tried Targeted Marketing in this slot. I'll probably end up cutting them for 2x Archangels for R&D protection, and to make the Criminal matchup more manageable.

  • Unsure about Mumbad Virtual Tour. It's useless when you're winning and they're broke, and useless when you're losing and they're rich. I still really like it to guard Sensie and Launch though. Speaking of which,

  • A third Sensie would be dope, but I'm not sure what I would cut.

  • Sweeps Week is probably better than Sure Gamble. Didn't consider that I can Sweeps Week from 1 Credit if the runner bought a one-way ticket to Siphon Town.

  • Architect is probably better than Crick. I thought it was 4 inf for some reason.

tl;dr the next version will try -2 Scarcity, -3 Hedge Fund, -1 Crick, +2 Archangel, +3 Sweeps Week, +1 Architect.

May as well swap a PAD Campaign for a NASX since they do the same thing but with a burst option if you happen to need it.

@krh372 Not a bad idea, but NASX isn't an Advertisement
