The Many Faces of Chaos

Chimpster 484

I designed this deck with the Professor in mind, the idea is to have a deck with some potent 1x tricks with tons of tutoring and recursion to bring out what's appropriate.

The deck is designed to be able to setup quickly with Corroder, Mimic and Zu or it can setup for the long game with Morning Star and Torch. Test Run into scavenge for the high cost breakers and SMC for the low cost breakers and tricks.

3x Sharpshooter to also enable paintbrush fuelled Morning Star if appropriate (and for general face checking and Power Shutdown defence).

Magnum Opus is hugely important, I would suggest that if you don't see a MO or a SMC in your opening hand, you should probably mulligan unless you have a diesel or two and want to risk it.

Use and abuse Sneakdoor at the right moment, hammer R&D with Keyhole and break into remotes with Femme when possible. You won't be able to do it all at once, but bring out the right tool at the right time and you can sow up victory quickly.

Should also mention that Dinosaurus works great with Morning Star or Torch with Paintbrush or with Femme/Mimic for dealing with sentries. If you're facing off against Archers, just recur your Sharpshooters as much as possible or Femme it for a long term solution.

Economy is tight. MU is tight. You can't do anything without a Magnum Opus, which leaves you with only 3MU until Dinosaurus hits the table. Even then, you can't play Paintbrush or Sneakdoor Beta or Keyhole or even SMC with more than 1 program on the table.

Paintbrush is late game anyway, all the ICE needs to be rezzed to make it of any use so at that point I'm usually happy trashing programs to make room for an uber combo. If you're getting easy access across the board, then you probably don't need sneakdoor or paintbrush anyway, they're more for lock out occasions where your breakers aren't cutting it.

SMC's are for the early game, key breakers, MO or to bring out a key trick. From then on it's a case of drawing up and dumping programs so you can use clone chip, test run or scavenge to bring out whatever is most relevant.
