Skorpios Chokehold v 1.0

Brototurret 576

This is a deck that NEEDS to exist in the meta. There is so much recursion on the runner side , something needs to keep their tools in check. This is that deck.

Skorpios make any runner completely rethink their deckbuilds as soon as they sit across from you. Skorpios is also an ID that rewards deck knowledge more than almost any other ID (Targeted Marketing+Ash Sol might be the only deck that requires more). Just RFG-ing breakers is great , don't get me wrong and that's a primary win condition of this deck , but slowing down the runner by getting rid of their linchpin pieces will take you over the top.

The concept here is simple to execute though. Throw down ETR ice everywhere important , install an underway renovation and advance it. Underway trashes from the top , so pay attention to what you mill when you advance it. If you hit a breaker , RFG it. If you hit a crucial piece to the runner's rig , RFG it. Keep advancing the underway until the runner goes to steal it. Then Hunter Seeker the breaker they just used to steal the underway (RFGing it of course) , and you've got a long scoring window.

Kala Ghota Real TV is a really neat card for this ID. You get to see what they're about to draw next turn , and if it's something good (Breaker , Rig piece , etc etc) , just trash KRTV to RFG it.

Ark Lockdown is for when you RFG something and then the runner thinks they're safe to discard their paperclip/Orchestra/MK Ultra. Lockdown that shit. Lockdown also lets you remove high value targets after you've removed something from your ID.

Roto is great for this deck as well. It's an ETR sentry that can trash a program (AKA RFG a program). You want a lot of ETR to take advantage of the programs that you RFG. I'm toying with the idea of doing ALL ETR barriers as the ice suite , and just trying to snipe their paperclip to win the game.

Counters to this strategy : Sac-Con really helps avoid Hunter Seeker , as does Film Critic. Employee strike will really hurt this ID , and I'm considering going up to 3x Housekeeping to deal with this preemptively. Decks that have a ton of bypass (near future criminal decks) will have an OK matchup on this as well , since they don't need a breaker to get in. Otherwise.. you've got great matchups across the board.

This deck is playing really well right now , and you'll see this as I update it.
