GNK Winner Gamers World Dublin 27/5

deaddrop 53

Built this deck a while ago and took it to a local GNK. Won overall but this deck went 1-2. The NEXT Opal were a last minute add to see if they interacted with Amazon Industrial Zone at all (pro tip:they dont). Amazon Industrial Zoneitself is actually quite a neat card since the ice is quite cheap and helps with your Econ (does reduce the surprise but with next ice I want them powered up fast), it's also very entertaining with Successful Field Test.

Matches:

Haley: Win.

Setup three ice, Architect, Eli 1.0 and Pop-up Window holding onto an agenda and some money and more ice. Was able to rush out before all his pieces came together. If he had taken a single credit more he would have been able to get my winning agenda and draw the game out longer.

Smoke: Loss

I hate playing against stealth decks. But three ice setup again Pop-up Window NEXT Silver and Eli 1.0. End of turn on 11 credits and five installed cards. Biggest mistake was putting out an unprotected Marilyn Campaign forgetting Temüjin Contract was a thing. Helped him get seup and meant I couldnt start scoring out without fortifying remote more but by the time I was ready to go he was fully setup and was able to get in wherever he wanted!

Andy: Loss

Ah this is where NEXT Design reminds me that it can just shit the bed. Mulligan a hand with two agendas and a Pop-up Window into three Successful Field Test IPO and a Fast Track. I manage to score out 4 points eventually but when the game starts off with having to double ice archives to try and slow down opponents income things are not gonna look god. It was still a lot of fun.

As a rush deck, it works alright. Its a lot of fun to play a deck that jsut using loads of ice and slams down agendas and starts scoring them rapidly. The Amazon Industrial Zone and NEXT Opal experiments were fun but I think they can both be cut for other things. I'd love to try Ultraviolet Clearance in this deck to see f it can be sped up a bit as well as a few other changes!

Also no Jackson Howard r Preemptive Action, there isnt time, yea you'll get bitten by Accelerated Beta Test sometimes but the idea is to go fast, as fast as you can!!
