Crash Test

Behold! Another Tier 2 masterpiece!*

This is a good ol’ trappy Jinteki deck.

Except it’s new.

Because of Obokata Protocol.

Runners face a conundrum upon first encounter with this agenda. Do I take it now and slow down/draw up? Or do I leave it alone and get the next one I see after I setup my rig? Either way, it seems to have changed the way that Runners approach this deck.

Typical play for this deck is to rush out a Protocol if you start with one in hand. If not, you can secure central servers and upgrade a scoring remote. Score House of Knives when available. Fast Track for Protocols. Fake out with GFIs if the runner has seen Obokata. Make the runner go fast, too. Then feed them a Counterstrike when they overextend.

Interesting things happen when the runner is forced to hurry. Like double encountering a Neural Katana or Cortex Lock with Marcus Batty. Or eating a Snare! And now, Lockdown has the best rez to strength ratio of any Jinteki ETR ice in the game. ;)

Going forward after rotation, I can see replacing Counterstrike with Hunter Seeker. It won’t kill Runners, but it may disrupt them enough with the net damage for you to score out.

MCA Informant for Film Critics. And their gerbils. And Aaron Marron. This could be Voter Intimidation. MCA just seems to be more reliable.

Note also the lack of advanceable traps. I’d rather not waste time with them and just try to score. Your mileage may vary.

Feedback is welcome and encouraged.

*Definitely not a masterpiece. More like a mess of pieces...
