NBN AgInfusion - 4th Place Florida Regional

Manadog 65

This deck is pretty similar to Eric C's Ag deck he won Cleveland with and then again to Spags' list from Gen Con. It's not the same as either but lot of the basics are. My only real spice was a Data Loop which was included to score Obokata's behind when they don't have a film critic. The deck went 3-3 but I think it's a better deck than the record would indicate. A better pilot would have pulled out a couple that I lost I think.

Swiss -

Win v Inversificator Andy - I played against a newer player from my Meta who probably got too aggressive and let himself go broke giving me scoring windows. Props to him for coming to the tournament. (2-0)

Loss v Au Revoir Ayla - My opponent, John, basically got an ideal draw as he commented during the game. His turn 1 was diesel snitch au revoir au revoir and the 3rd au revoir came down a turn or 2 later. He printed money all game but couldn't find his turning wheel which kept me in it. My only hope was basically winning lots of psi games which didn't happen and he inevitably got to 7. (3-1)

Loss v Apoc Steve - Grey was on Apoc Steve, which kudos to him for bringing to a regional. I should have seen the Apoc coming but I didn't. Nobody runs chop bots that isn't trying to Apocalypse you. I actually still had a shot at this one but I lost almost every psi game. (4-2)

Win v Alice - My meta mate Derrick has been on Alice for a while. I think we both needed a sweep to make the cut but we played both for real anyway. The Alice ability was pretty annoying early but his luck was kinda crummy and I finally won some psi games. It was a still a pretty close game. (6-2)

Cut - Win v Inversificator Andy - I mulligan into 3 agendas and draw another 2 pretty quickly. He steals 2 but slows down the aggression as his money dries up a bit. This is the game that the Data Loop won me which made the include feel justified. He had seen the top 2 of R&D via turning wheel and didn't have a way to dig deeper that turn. HQ was dry and he didn't have the cards in hand to steal the Obakata after putting 2 on the stack. (1-0)

Loss v Inversificator Andy - I played the eventual champ - Tristan. I made the mistake of celebrity gifting turn 1 so he had no fear in running early. He got insane Andy money and basically had his way with me. R&D held out for a long time and I misplayed by forgetting about employee strike and handing him a free Nisei. Afterwards he said he thought the game was reasonably close but it didn't feel that way on my end so maybe he was just being nice. (1-1)

Win as Runner (2-1)

Loss as Runner (2-2)

Thanks to everyone I met and played against. You were all very nice. The ANR community really is fantastic. It was nice to meet some people from Slack and put faces to names. Thanks to Gamesville Tabletop for a great tournament. I had a great time and wish I'd gone to more of these sooner.

I love the inclusion of Data Loop in this deck. Was it reliable enough to justify the slot?

It was reliable but situational. If the runner didn't have film critic it's pretty easy to engineer a situation where this easily defends Obakata. It's hard to point to single cards and say "This won me a game." but in the cut it definitely did.
