THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL

Bakaru 253

Make no mistake about it, money is power.

Only those who have none say different.

Runners, your weak attempts to use money against us, is laughable at best.

Economy is what we are, it is the force with which we wield our power.

Money is not the root of all evil.

Only the love of it is.

Nothing we do is out of love or hate, our only goal it to consume, to grow.

Everything we do furthers that goal and makes us stronger.

You are nothing, we are Weyland.

This is a fun Weyland glacier deck for Weyland fans, and econ warfare (can’t wait for that card) at its finest. When properly setup this deck is an absolute beast leading to a lot of runners being simply locked out due to not having enough funds or even the prospect of enough funds to get through your deliciously strong super ICE. I find this deck to be good Corp fundamentals Netrunner training for myself, since this deck isn’t really doing anything too fancy.

On that note obviously this is a Sandburg deck, so the plan is simple - ICE up and make as much money as possible. Bryan Stinson will help make that happen. Runners are onto him so call in SEA Source and Closed Accounts when needed. SEA Source is very effective right now as there are very few ways to counter it as opposed to HHN.

Consulting Visit is their to help accelerate things if you also need some other operations right away like a Hunter Seeker or even a Snatch and Grab if Beth or a Film Critic is giving you a hard time.

Special Report will help reduce flooding and keep your Agendas mixed in R&D but not buried as you will eventually need them when you’re ready. It’s also good for ditching Preemptive Action and other things back into HQ that you may receive too early. Like most Weyland decks, this one suffers from the same problem of the order in which your cards come out can determine your game drastically. Mirāju is also great for HQ and R&D protection…Indexing cough cough.

You may notice no GFI's. While easy to slot in and useful protection, I just wanted to try and go without them.

The ICE suite is fairly standard, but let’s talk about Bulwark for a sec. A painfully underrated piece ICE that fires off quite a bit. Way better than Hadrian’s Wall in my opinion. Has a little AI hate which is always nice, and since I don’t run Hostile Takeover the bad pub is nothing.

If there was something to find room for it would be upgrade protection, Ash or Marcus would be lovely in this. Maybe ditch the SEA Source and Closed Account for a Reversed Accounts to free some influence.

Very disappointed that this deck doesn't contain The Root!

Worked well otherwise, though. Bryan Stinson is... very effective. (I think he should be banned, actually.)

Why CST over Oaktown?

@Gswp trust me, I wanted to slot it in.

@igrekk I think Oaktown would better if I had Ash in here as well. I'd be nervous to use a face up Agenda with no upgrade protection.
