Killing Me Just a Little Harder 1.2

KingOfOdonata 216

Sticking with Toolbox over Spinal modem due to Influence and the big MU bonus. Still loving all the recurring credits going on here. Underworld Contact, as I thought, is way to slow for this deck. So in came 3xDaily Casts. Dirty Laundry is also the perfect combination for Paintbrush, so you can gain money on the run. Bumped up Modded count to 3 since I have more than enough targets for it. Plus, if I'm going to drop Toolbox, I'd really prefer to pay 5 for it over 8. I noticed this deck often had weakness against decks with a lot of expensive resources and upgrades. I opened up influence with the removal of the Lucky Finds and got one Imp in. The idea here is if I see a match up where I need to destroy these cards, I can Test Run Imp, trash one, and then have Imp again for next turn the next time something drops to the table. I also got a Femme Fatale in to deal with things like Data Raven and Tollbooth. Plus, gives me another use for Silencers. I'd like to get another Self-Modifing Code in a possibly a single Parasite.Maybe even some Clone Chips. Though, I have no idea what I'd take out.

Looks cool :)

You could maybe take out Replicator to make space? Do you actually use it that much?

Also, I wonder if you'd find Armitage Codebusting better than Daily Casts. Seems crazy I know, but despite being clickless, Daily Casts is kinda slow to give you credits. And with the small amount of econ in the deck, I suspect you'll end up clicking for credits sometimes, which would be much nicer to be doing off an Armitage.

3X Test Run + 1X Self-Modifying Code is the opposite of what I'd expect. That is, I'd expect 1 Test Run and 3 SMC. How does that work for you? Test Run is an awfully expensive tutor... Though I like being less afraid of Power Shutdown

Well, the Replicators are absolutely amazing if out early enough. I only want one in play so I don't overfill my hand and I want to make as much use of Kate's ability as I can. Once one is in play, I'm guaranteed all three Silencers, and second R&D Interface and Akamatsu Mem Chip, and the other Plascrete if necessary. Actually, Armitage may be a lot better. If may take clicks, but I click often enough for credits. I'd love to do an Aesops economy, but at this momement I don't have room.

Test Run has its uses, and is often wonderful for a utility Tutor (Femme or Imp). I do want another SMC though, just to speed things up. Wouldn't mind a parasite to eat up small ICE.

And as much as I love Toolbox in here since I always get my money's worth out of it (use it to its full fives times and you made your money back. Even better when modded into play), it is expensive and a little slow to set up. Though, it is also an automatic two extra MU (three when counting Zu.13).

I do want to make some changes. Especially increase its speed and consistency. My problem with decks like these, that rely on specific cards getting out, is the overall breakdown in consistency. Wanting to put John Masanori in for the draw, since once I do start running, I almost always get in.

My brother runs a very similar deck that does very well. While not undefeated, he is top ranked in our local league right now. I can't tell you about how his deck works as well as he could, but here is a link to his current list. Maybe it will give you some ideas.
