Lynx's Standard Andromeda

LynxMegaCorp 1343

This is a deck I've been using with great success lately, so I wanted to share it. I can't say there's anything special about it; the plan is straightforward. Build up econ, get key cards out cheaply, make meaningful runs.

Events

Account Siphon spam doesn't exist in this deck, but if you desire the hatred of your opponents, fit in some Same Old Things. AS here is mainly a leverage tool. Since there might be moments when you're busy setting up, setting the Corp back a few credits (and gaining your own) after a costly score could easily swing the game in your favor. Follow up a successful AS with Emergency Shutdown to cripple a costly remote server.

Career Fair has several main targets: Daily Casts, Earthrise Hotel and The Supplier. Though in a pinch you could use it with a 2-cost resource. CF is great at buffering the large opening hand size, and nothing feels better than a turn 1 Daily Casts at no cost.

Modded fits the same role as CF, but has the benefit of getting Gordian Blade / Garrote (or Sneakdoor Beta) out right away, when the Corp might have assumed you couldn't. I'd try to save them for the programs, but I won't tell you not to use them on hardware if you need to (that's the glory of this card; it'll rarely be useless).

Special Order acts as three extra breakers, since we're running 1-ofs, and allows you to get the one you suspect you might need. Facechecking isn't the safest thing to do with singleton breakers, but SO mitigates that slightly by soaking up potential damage (with the minor nuisance of having to draw your breakers instead).

Hardware

Box-E instead of Desperado, you ask? Sure. It does what this deck wants; allows you to run your breakers + Sneakdoor Beta and holds onto key cards for when you need them. Sometimes Earthrise Hotel draws you cards that you're not keen on using right away, and Box-E helps mitigate that. The only trouble is having 1-of. I'd go up to two, maybe replacing John Masanori.

Interfaces - that's what makes this deck so great. With those out, you can make one or two multi-access runs, then spend one or two turns building up your economy. This puts great strain on the Corp, since none of their servers will be safe, ever.

Resources

Everything except Armitage Codebusting benefits greatly from The Supplier (though if you don't absolutely need to click for AC at the moment and have an open Supplier, go ahead). Crash Space mitigates AS / John Masanori flops and random tags (Data Raven, Gutenburg) that can't be ignored. Scrubber is absolutely wonderful against any Corps utilizing trashable cards. Being able to hold onto solid credits while thinning your opponent's economy / support is beautiful and can't be underestimated. I consider Tri-maf Contact a sort of 'drip econ' that's usable whenever needed. You simply can't beat not having to click for credits when there's nothing better to do with that last click.

Programs

Standard breakers from each faction. Faerie for early Jinteki aggro / facechecking / scouting. Breach as Oversight/Curtain hate and backup. Things happen. I had Passport in here at one point, but realized that it often took up space. The lack of breakers does mean that facechecking can be dangerous, including running without a killer. Keep that in mind! Lastly, Sneakdoor Beta compliments the HQ interfaces and Emergency Shutdown quite well. Best installed once they think they've got HQ secured.

In conclusion, this deck rocks. If my opening hand isn't 'solid' (Sure Gamble, 1x Special Order, random econ / Career Fair but without Supplier), then I'll hope for a Supplier in my mulligan. If you install every Hardware / Resource with him (except 3x resources installed with Career Fair), he saves you 27 credits. 30 if you don't want to install Armitage, +3 if he was installed with Career Fair!). Its not rare to get a first turn consisting of: Sure Gamble, Career Fair install The Supplier, host card(s) on Supplier, 4th click. And that 4th click could be anything including installing Faerie, Modded > Breaker, Armitage Codebusting install, Special Order into a breaker you think you'll need for the matchup - this deck has it all.

I'm considering swapping that Masanori for another Box-E. I haven't ever missed Box-E, but it couldn't hurt. Thoughts?

Comments and suggestions are welcome! Enjoy!

What's your plan of attack if your Gordian gets sniped off - either by net damage or by a program trash?

Aggressive Secretary literally just wipes you off the map.

That's this deck's main weakness - not being able to face check reliably and the rare Aggressive Secretary. So far passive play (and focusing on centrals) has been my strategy. It works, but there can and will be times when those things happen. If that's a worry, replacing a Modded with a Clone Chip could act as a back up.

Since publishing I've actually made a few adjustments - Swapping Gordian and Corroder for Peacock and Aurora. John Masanori swapped for another Box-E. Tri-Maf Contact replaced with another Modded. Just toying around with things (added e3 for breaker support).
