The Anarchist Cookbook

Blow everything up! Untested, an idea for comboing Khumalo with various trash-virus effects.

Friday Chip, Gravedigger and Consume reward you for trashing, giving you virus counters, R&D trashes (albeit the corp is the one trashing it), and/or money. (Consume doesn't take MU and isn't unique! Also, Gravedigger triggers even when the Corp trashes their own installed cards!)

Imp, Trypano and Freedom Khumalo: Crypto-Anarchist use virus counters to trash things, feeding the above. Imp could be cut, although it's nice to be able to trash more than one card per turn, and have a free trash if you access cards like Sure Gamble/DNA Tracker/Obokata Protocol/etc.

Datasucker and Knobkierie reward you for making repeated runs, keeping your routine efficient.

Acacia hopefully gets you the money to restart your engine if they purge. I'm not sure if Contaminate is good or bad here, I'd have to test it. It can theoretically be an econ card (with Consume,) a Trypano accelerator (combo with Knobkierie/Friday Chip the next turn for a 1-turn trash timer,) a refill on Imp, or providing you 3 clicks of Gravedigger. Note that it can also target Friday Chip if you want to spread the counters for some reason, but that's really slow.

I'm not running Inject because the most valuable cards in your deck are the viruses. If you're looking for more "draw", Street Peddler would probably be a better include, cutting Contaminate. The lone Self-modifying Code would probably be another Consume if it cost less influence.

Cards to consider:

How would -1 SMC for +1 Emp. Strike and +2 Aumakua sound? In lieu of that, ya may have to drop a Friday Chip and possibly a Trypano. IMO, if you're gonna run over 45, then 3 Strikes is a must. You may also need the Turtles to help out with your ID ability and/or Consume in a pinch.

I agree that cutting down to 45 is the goal. Once I play with it a few times I should get a feeling of what to cut/add, but these are the card I want to test.

Aumakua is anti-synergistic with most of the deck. Ideally I'm trashing (or stealing) a card every run, so it doesn't trigger itself hardly at all. I would rather be putting counters on the very high impact Gravedigger/Consume/Imp than on Aumakua, in the case of Friday Chip/Knobkierie/Contaminate. But, try it out yourself.

If I was forced to choose, I would cut Acacia or Contaminate before I cut Friday Chip/Trypano. Chip/Tryp are core to the engine, whereas Acacia/Contaminate are supplemental.

SMC is in theory very valuable; the only program that doesn't merit the fetch is Datasucker. Still, stick with what your testing tells you.

EStrike is great but secondary. Is Scarcity of Resources brutal? Yes, but not game ending. Most currents are easy for you to trash as Khumalo if you access them, which means if they want it in play, they likely need to play it immediately. I'm also not sure there are any ID's that are particularly horrifying. If you really want to, I'd say something more like -1 SMC, -3 Contaminate or Acacia, +1 Estrike, +2 Career Fair.

I've been playing a slightly tuned version of this deck for a week or so, and it is great fun!. I'm using your suggested changes - no SMC, no contaminate, -1 Acacia, +3 Career Fair. I'm experimenting with Yusuf vs Clippy or one of each, can't really decide what's optimal, but I think I like 1 each. Yusuf powers up Freedom very quickly, but the rig is most effective when Imp does the heavy trashing and Freedom just picks off the low-cost cards, so I'm not sure it's worth the MU.

I've also added a Virus Breeding Ground, mostly as Yusuf support, but it can be a useful extra kick with Consume or the difference between a 1-turn Trypano and a 2-turn without a run. Ditched a Gravedigger to make room, as I only find him useful against bleed decks where I don't have the HP to steal Obokatas and what have you.

SSO Industries: Fueling Innovationis still a problem, but with Strike and enough ruckusing around in whatever server they leave unprotected, it can work. Thanks for the idea!
