Central Express Tenma

Tjobakov 36

Who needs to spend a single click to check remotes, run into new Jinteki ambushes or waste a single credit to trash installed assets?

Or more importantly - who wants to wait for the corporation to install?

RUN QUICK and hit the centrals hard!

Main Strategy

  • Quick and decisive run-to-win strategy
  • Constantly running on centrals only with Siphon, Indexing (good against ambush-decks), Maker's Eye or Legwork, scoring those agendas.
  • Central-only ICE-breakers
  • Prepaid VoicePAD and Public Terminal to pay for events and runs

Cards to mulligan for

  • Siphon, Legwork, Prepaid, Indexing, Maker's eye

First turn

  • If possible, try and run on both HQ and R&D with the respective run-events (corp can't always rez both)

Second and further turns

  • Keep credits on a need-level and run often!
  • Use Express Delivery to get the 3 central-breakers
  • SOT and Levy to re-use runs

Thoughts on net-shield or plastcrete? And the lack of economy cards?

I figure this deck won't have any need of either, as the main strategy is to win early (before corp can land a SEA-source/scorched or the like).

Deck looks like a good start, but you're overdoing it on Run events just because you're Ken. Don't fall into this trap.

I'd DEFINITELY cut the Express Deliveries, and almost certainly cut the Early Birds, in favor of a 3rd Account Siphon (only 2? Seriously?), Sure Gambles, and Dirty Laundry. How can you not include Dirty Laundry in a deck running Voicepads, Desperados, and Ken?

To make room, I'd also likely cut the Public Terminals, and the LARLA, and stick in another Lucky Find and a Special Order or two. You'll need Breakers and have no card draw. Inside Job on it's own won't be enough. I'm not saying you need 3x Special Order, but 2 couldn't hurt.

Suggested changes:

-3 Early Bird -3 Express Delivery -1 LARLA - 2 Public Terminal

+1 Account Siphon +2 Special Order +3 Dirty Laundry +1 Lucky Find +2 Sure Gamble

Leaves you with a spare Influence to do what you'd like. Just a few thoughts. Ken certainly looks fun though!

Great pieces of advice - and duly noted. I'm all in for the main strategy, which my only improve by your changes (although I already have 3 Sure Gamble).

Didn't see them!

So, with those 3 spare slots, you can slot in the 3rd Special Order and whatever other 2 cards you think help - like Plascretes which I just saw you're missing!!

The breaker suite is hard to justify here. Sure it's cheap to play them, but they are all going to tax you something fierce if the corp (correctly) ICE-towers their centrals. Only so many Inside Jobs in the deck. Droping Levy or a single Makers Eye frees up enough for a singleton Corroder or Zu. Even if you never run a remote, it's often worth the threat to make the Corp spend 2 ice on their remotes instead of just one.

Seconding the addition of plascrete. I also think maybe Quest Complete isn't the worst option here? Maybe even as a 2x of. Whether it's because you know there's an agenda in a server or there's some kind of asset you need to get rid of.

I second than the breaker suite could be hurt by Power Shutdown.

Garrote is better than Alias but more expansive both in term of credit and memory. Faerie is a good protection for Corroder plus it is cheap both in MU and credit.

Suggested changes: -1 Maker Eye, -1 LARLA, -2 Alias, -2 Breach, -2 Passport +1 Corroder, +1 Gordian Blade, +1 Garrote, +3 Faerie, +2ofwhatyoulike
