Barriers Don't Do Damage: 5-2 @ UKNATS

This is the deck I used to kill Tim Fowler on stream from a practically unwinnable position for the corp.

For those who haven't seen he ran a three iced R&D with the outermost and innermost iced unrezzed, middle being a Cortex Lock. I rezzed Jua locking his paperclip in the heap. Tim, thinking to himself, was convinced he was safe. MkUltra and Black Orchestra kept him safe from spiky sentries and codegates. Barriers dont do damage he thought, so he continued. He let a cortex lock to fire to take 1 damage going down to 3 cards in hand. Continuing to the last ice, I rezzed a Chiyashi and killed Tim with 4 net damage.

Keeping me afloat this deck proved very powerful vs the anarchs in swiss losing to a Apoc 419 in a close game and a Kyuban combo Wu in the last round.

Divert Power was supposed to be a fun little jank card for this deck but the synergies with Aginfusion are real and its surprisingly easy to set up.

I want to thank all my opponents for the great games and the words of encouragement and support. I'm not going to worlds and competitive netrunner has taken a toll on me mentally recently (I find the mood swings from winning and losing quite hard to cope with) so I will be glad for a break from the competitive scene. But I'll still be thinking about Netrunner constantly and coming up with ways to make almost win with off-meta decks.

Finally I want to congratulate our newly minted National Champion Tim Fowler. Thanks for the great games, and your complete lack of survival instincts. There isn't a more worthy champion :D.
