Too Late v.VI (Pirate Hayley w/ Mind's Eye & SpyCam)

history

The latest version of a Runner deck I've been on for the past ~5 weeks, updated to be Standard format legal. Also the first time I've tried Pirate, as it happens.

The idea underpinning it all was that with three Mind's Eye counters, guided by SpyCam and supported by FTE as needed, you have a pretty solid path to 7 points and usually only need to get to 4 before sitting back. Additionally there's suddenly no pressure to find the required mass of Hooks and beasties to access R&D, which in turn saves them for the remote. In truth I think it was ultimately a bit needless. Simply running for the winning agenda when you know it's there works. Still, style points.

It's weak to fast advance, but when the Corp has Atlas counters you can play some fun mind games.

Changes to make this Standard-compliant were quite impactful. Firstly Laguna became ProCo, which whilst slower helps quite a bit against matchups using HHN or one or two key assets. Losing Dhegdeer hurt Hook recursion more than I'd expected, and the tight MU can now lead to some uncomfortable decisions. But with Hook devalued, turning one into a Hostage was quite neat.

This version is nowhere near tuned, so is perfect for a bit of personalisation and tweaking. Give it a spin, it's been a lot of fun.
