CtM - A Return to Form

It's back

MWL 3.2 is what we've been waiting for.

With the removal of Commercial Bankers Group from the MWL, CtM can come back with full force!

But with the runner economy almost out of control these days, what do we need to give CtM the economic edge?

Daily Quest! Protect your prized possession with a Data Raven, Tollbooth and maybe a Mumbad Virtual Tour for extra spice!

This list is an attempt to harken back to the old days of classic CtM but with a few changes for flair.

The agenda suite emphasizes scoring out early ARES to put pressure on the runner for tags. Normally for fast ARES scoring, we want some fast advance support ala Calibration Testing. If you want to play that more straightforwardly, you could drop the Lady Liberty and maybe Scarcity of Resources for it. Otherwise, the plan is as normal, attempt to set up your accelerating board state as fast as possible and hope that you don't hemorrhage out too early to stall out.

On the topic of using Lady Liberty, It can well be worth it to use it to immediately have an ARES on the board for yourself and put a clock on the runner to deal with your lady liberty. Making a light scoring remote out of the LL server is a good idea because after 3 counters, you won't need her anymore.

It's been said that CtM often makes you wish for more clicks, and I believe an early Eli 1.0 can assist with that. I need to do more testing but I feel pretty good about having Eli over IP Block. If you're feeling antsy you could drop the Eli for that 3rd Commercial Bankers Group.

All in all I feel pretty confident about this list but you can have a bad matchup against Val or shapers if you're not careful. From testing, the stronger Good Stuff decks can have a decent swinging chance against this and it's actually a fairly interesting matchup for both sides.

Or something like this could happen:

Good luck!

If you want to shore up the Shaper matchup, I could see swapping the Scarcity of Resources for a SEA Source. 99% of the time they just shrug off HHN with Misdirection, you practically need SEA to land Exchange against them.

Cool ideas though, I like the 2 Bankers/2 Daily Quest split.
