Meta?

Some of the thinking of the "meta" when I was evaluating / adjusting my beloved Vegan Issuaq list post elevation ...

• Runner Rich ... some cooks, some runs, some befriends (some do it all)
• Runner ignores subs ... bankhar / botulus / boomerang
• Runner got limited but effective answers to big boi ICE ... propeller / revolver
• Runner wins upon inevitability ... Deep dive

So the solution we're looking for roughly in sequence to the above ...

• Play WAY MORE money in corp than pre elevation
• Play Mavirus
• Play ICE with non sub text ... Semak
• Play ICE inciting bankhar's defection ... Saisentan / Tatu
• Play defensive upgrades ... Void
• Lowers agenda density ... 1 in 7 is the ceiling of "normal decks" (?)
• Be able to rush ... Seamless

The deck

Only need 2 Scoring window that enables 7 agenda corp builds, is ... GOOD

... from above ... I end up brining the most honest deck i've played in quite a while ... with the plan being entirely linear as ... money up -> place ICE well -> bluff / build to score in mere 2 windows that just happens to have the rnd density to survive random early twinning touches and/or DD's.

Some additional considerations on ICE ...

• I've gone full cycle on tatu -> semak -> tatu AND semak sorry flyswatter ... i like the early ETR and bankhar utility from tatu's ... you just never rez them once curupira's down
• I've gone full cycle on "Empiricist bad" ->"Empiricist ok" -> "Empiricist so bad" -> "sigh else can we do" ... but having an ICE that cost Carmen / Revolver more than coffee money has some value that saisentan just doesn't offer mid/late game
• Snek ... i need to play Cat's cool Alt Snek somehow, right? but also this is a perfectly legit remote ICE once you have the void set up

No one argues against the sim reset include in a 7 agenda deck ... 1) I'm just supersticious about flooding 2) it has issuaq quote on it 3) it's at worst fake spin at best a "draw 5" button ... good enough for me.

Notable weakness of the deck / ways to beat the deck ...

1) Trash La Costa on sight;

2) Save pinhole for void;

3) Target HQ multi-access run while charlotte's busy finding all the agenda while it seems she's only piling up money

One other thing

Also worth noting ... in fond memory of having Data Loop + Anemone as an alternative "kill fork" to present in a scoring deck, I tried another version to have it with Touch-up + Fuji + Neurospike ... but with the influence cost and deck slots, it start to squeeze out money from the deck which really starts to hurt the consistency, not too mention stoneship are just randomly showing up in any runner deck because of the touch-up epidemic out there … but as swiss cheese it did score a perfect 4-0 as well in MitM's summer showndown.

Fluff

This is probably the last week in Toronto before relocating back to South Indiana ... I'm so thankful that my beloved Toursaug meta are just filled with great TO's and players ... who can show me how cool playing / organizing / janking can be.

I'm really really happy i got to pay my pilgrimage to OTG, where my beloved MoM group were found and we get to BIG breakfast every day before games.

I'm thrilled to get to play with many many OG's (seriously, the density of 2016 / 2018 champ deckboxes in that room is crazy) and lovely to see new found / renewed passion about the game that was sooooo apparent in the room throughout the weekend.

Huge shout out to Orbital for organizing, all the Jnet/GLC handles i get to meet in person and put a face to ... it was lovely meeting / playing y'all.
