Swift Ken

Black Hat Madman 69

I haven't experimented with this deck much. I've only played a game or two against a friend of mine whose decks are notoriously annoying (such as a no-run Gang Sign-HQ Interface-Leela deck, a Laramy Fisk mill deck or a brutal Builder of Nations kill deck). He said that this deck went too fast for him. That's the point: red ones go faster.

The faction I feel most at home with is easily , but upon seeing Swift, I figured "Hey, let's build a Ken deck with this as the console". Considering the effects of both, I added as many run events as I could fit in.

Personally, I don't like Khusyuk. In fact, I downright hate it, but unfortunately, it's more effective in this deck than Maker's Eye. Originally, I had Trade-In and Dorm Computer to quickly tutor Swift, but the latter lost its use once the former was rotated.

Mystic Maemi is one of my favorite cards for this deck, simply because it's a free credit for the twenty-five events in this deck. Excessive, I'm sure, but with only five of them (Sure Gamble and Deuces Wild) not having the "run" tag, I need every last event-playing credit I can get.

Speaking of tags, I know Hot Pursuit's in here, but that's the point of Qianju PT and Thunder Art Gallery. Prevent the tag for the paid click, and then install a card for 1 cheaper.

Is this deck any good? Probably not. I mean, I'm using Rezeki for a drip economy of a sort, and I've admitted I'm not the best at Netrunner multiple times. But I had fun building this, and I think that's the most important thing.

Hey ma ! I've been playing around with Ken a bit lately myself. Save yourself a bit of influence if you'd like. You can cut Mystic Maemi and replace it with Public Terminal. I think you can probably drop Qianju PT and the Thunder Art Gallery gallery as well. The reall downside of fag removal is typically the Click lost. So Swift helps mitigate that for you.
