Advance like there is no tomorrow

The basic idea is simple, use Mushin No Shin to advance cards that may or may not kill the runner outright, then use Trick of Light to throw down and score an agenda. Reclamation Order is there in order to cycle Trick of Light and/or Mushin No Shin. While the Tennin Institute: The Secrets Within doesn't need a card that can be advanced in order to put advancement tokens on them, it is nice to use advance able ice.

My main concern right now are my agendas. I'm of a mind to swap almost all my current agendas with ones with advance requirement of 3 . This would mean that I need about 2 to 4 more card slots and I'm not sure that I have the card space.

As always, I'd appreciate any feedback

Honestly, I don't think this can work at all.

  1. Weak econ overall, super susceptible to early siphons with only 15 ice in 49 card deck.
  2. Very susceptible to any kind of expose (Infiltration, etc).
  3. Anarachs will walk all over this deck. Whizzard can simply trash PADs and MHCs. Noise can simply mill R&D with no archive protection. Parasites kill 2/3 of the ice in a couple turns max.
  4. MHCs has terrible synergy with both CO and Junebug.
  5. No agendas can be advanced in one turn with ToL. GL keeping those 5/3 on the board after a ToL.
  6. No shocks/shi-kyu means any runner can simply spend one click a turn to run on archives to deny TI identity benefit.

I don't see how this can be viable.

I've find that 15 ice are adequate enough if you don't plan to make huge towers, so I don't think that there will be a problem there. Also adding an ice to archives is always a good idea. The exposing is an issue but even then, I'll get to use the advancement tokens with trick of light so that's not such a big deal. Also exposing cards are still quite rarely used. I do agree that a relatively balanced Whizzard deck will walk all over me but I can't add more expensive/strong ice, I don't think that I'll be able to afford it. And yes I'm not convinced with MHCs as well but I'm not sure what else to use for cheap economy. And like I said in the comments I'm not convinced with my agendas as well. That is why I ask for advice! :) Thanks for your reply

I agree that 15 ICE is sufficient if you're not planning on stacking it too much. A few observations:

  • 3 Reclamation Order seems heavy. They'll cramp your style early, if you're just a little unlucky with your draw.
  • I predict that Zaibatsu Loyalty is a must in a Jinteki deck this next season. People will (should) be packing reveal-effects en masse, not to mention Silhouette, so you're risking throwing away a lot of resources on ambushes that won't hit. It'll add new layers to your mind game - try it ;)

I would ditch NeoTokyo Grid, MHC, and Snares. Include Shocks and Shi-Kyi to discourage archive running. Get some burst economy (Beanstalks maybe?). Subliminal also has a good synergy with this identity.

I would ditch one Mushin and I would replace 2 Reclamation Orders with Archived Memories. Maybe even Jacksons, because Jackson has a good synergy here. Removing a naked Jackson doesn't as a successful run, so I'd still get a token, and I can shuffle ToLs back into my deck.

I would also try to re-org the agendas. Replace Nisey and NAPD with Philotic and Medical Breakthroughs. I would try to switch to 3/2s and 2/1 so that I don't have to create remotes that runner can exploit for denying me free TI advancements.

I would re-do ICE complety. Ditch Shadows and Snowflakes, add a couple Wraparounds, one or two Inazumas (has a good synergy with both Tsurugi and Komainu), some quandaries to accumulate TI tokens early on. Basically I would try to force the runner into building a full breaker suite instead of getting cheap accesses and denying me my identity.

Basically I would only have naked remotes with traps + guarded archives + early ice on central servers to accumulate TI tokens early and then ToL 3/2s to victory.

Hope this helps!

@opletayev, you won't see me disagree to be honest, the deck you describe is very similar with this netrunnerdb.com that I made :) My main idea was to get away from that deck style and try something different. I do agree that, at least with the agendas, I'll probably rework them from ground up. I'll have to try it and see what goes.
