Made one change that should help my econ out a bit...and provide another element of surprise:

-2 Tollbooth ... +2 Inazuma

Seems mostly solid. I like to try and fit in even more ICE into NEXT Design, specifically hoping to start the game with three on the board. Your Econ is impressive as well, I'm sure you have significantly less trouble than I do rezzing some of that larger ICE.

Whirlpool really does help Howler work better, but I think in your build you can use Inazuma just as well, at the cost of a few extra credits. I would be careful though, as if they have a Code Gate breaker they can render that combo much less useful.

Have you considered Fenris? I can't stress how much it hurts our opponent.

The more I ponder, the more I do consider Fenris, yup. :) I will likely take the next week to brainstorm the deck build in my spare time, unless I magically come up with a brilliant scheme quickly. The only question is, do I take Guard out? Its utility against folks that Inside Job early on is priceless, IMO.

The only thing I don't like about Howler is if/when I draw one and I don't have at least one piece of the combo puzzle with it or close to it in the shuffle. Other than that, I love that little guy, and I've used it effectively once or twice the night I first started running my concept.

About Code Gate breakers...yes, the people I play against love their pumpable Yog.0...as well as w/Datasucker and/or Parasite. Having an Ichi 2.0 out as well as Cell Portal would put massive pressure on their decision making and econ I think.

I would hate to leave the NEXT ID in the dust, but going back to the Core HB would seem like the logical thing here, heh. I was feeling good about either 24 or 25 ICE in the NEXT build; more than that would make econ nearly impossible, I think. Sweeps Week is slightly better than Blue Level Clearance, IMO, but we'll see what happens if I do switch the two.
