Ei did not make this - Muenster CT

ain 16

When getting into the Elevation Standard meta as a runner I had no idea how to play. I figured others would feel the same, so when I saw Metropole Grid brew and play this monstrosity in his stream I immediately shelved the wanna-be ASA Poetri deck I had prepared and sleeved this up two days before the tournament. I replaced 2 Mitra Aman with Petty Cash and Peer Review, because I think Mitra is a meme. I know I'm a monster for bringing this deck, but it turned out to be the right decision, because every runner blundered into a flatline against this deck.

The event was a casual tournament consisting of six rounds of single-sided swiss. There were 12 participants in total. There were plenty of snacks and drinks for everyone. In fact, there was more than we could hope to eat, so maybe come visit and help us with that!

I'm excited the local meta is taking off and that our organizer sciurus_vulgaris managed to assemble such an awesome group of people! My runner list can be found here.

Ei is the german word for Egg and is pronounced just like the english "I".

Match reports

Round 1 - Win against MuslihaT

This was a game against someone who spontaneously decided to show up for their first netrunner tournament. And what better way to get introduced to the format than by getting flung into a grinder? They were laughing maniacally while getting hit with net damage over and over. They were doing a great job staying safe for their first game, but eventually they floundered, which let me get the flatline.

Round 3 - Win against MuslihaT

MuslihaT started with an early Maemi and put on the pressure. Setting up a board state was slow, but once Hostile Architecture sticked, they were reluctant to run. At some point they ran with 3 cards into my hand containing Blood in the Water, some Operation and Sting! I rezzed and fired the Anemone in front of HQ, discarding Blood in the Water. MuslihaT decided to access and pulled the Sting! for a flatline.

Round 6 - Win against Sable

I don't remember exactly how this game went down. I think Sable lost some cards to an agenda steal backed up by Phat and got hit by Bladderwort on the rebound in turn 2 or 3.
