in an era of corp doomerism, you gotta ask yourself, what is it that corp needs?

is it powerful recursion?

is it card draw? filtering and selection?

maybe what corp needs is to just jam

couldn't pick a corp at first and kept noodling on trying out nuvem and btl in hopes of picking up a corp that would have access to tools to deal with whatever possible matchup would come my way, struggling to find a list that would fill the reg PD shaped void left after rotation

but after playing 2 games with issuaq prior to the APAC megacity and a few pep talks from some friends (thanks snore my goat), i locked it in, it's a fun deck and even if at half the time it feels like you're at the mercy of the draw, sometimes you just gotta jam and hope for the best

the deck was undefeated in swiss (other than the ID at final round), flatlining ardie's Esâ with a Saisentan after reaching a single Issuaq counter and threatening 6 points

similar turn of events against quarkinator's Loup, threatening game with an advanced Fujii, forcing them to run it, chew through their airblades, but then getting shut out with anoetic. they run it again, get through, but die to the steal

top cut was a bit rougher, it folded to snipes and late agenda draws, but it is what it is

likely karma for the highly serendipitous net damage the day before (lucky snipes hitting marrows and airblades in hand)

the funniest thing about this deck is that it doesn't have the same agency as a weyland list with ob tutors, basalt recursion, or au co's ridiculous card draw and potential flatline threat, or and isn't the most taxing thing click/credit wise

but the joy of just putting an agenda in remote and watching the runner have to guess for game and crunch their numbers while you smile, look at your hand and board, and nod sagely knowing that you did what you could given what you drew is priceless
