Reading Elevation Release CTK, what an event! Having Sokka and Brandon hanging out in Reading for the week, playing boardgames and having a chill time, seeing so many people travel all the way to Reading to play in our local tournament, it truly has been an awesome release.
This deck went undefeated at the CTK (I placed 12th, with my corp deck performing abysmally) against Nebula, Jinteggi, and Ob (and it even beat Sokka's Nebula the night before on my dining room table (mostly through good luck))
People who know me, will, to their suffering, know that I have been playing double deep dive sable for the last 12 months, practicing it relentlessly and taking to multiple tournaments where in general it was always the better performing of my two decks. KnightfromChess and I had discussed, much the same as many other players such as can be read in Sokka's deck writeup, that the deck lost very little in rotation and would likely be one of the strongest runner decks in the new meta. I was determined however, that at this tournament I would try to showcase a new ID and therefore picked up MuslihaT.
When creating this decklist I knew I wanted 2 things: - A Satisfying Twinning Engine - A High Start of Turn Draw Percentage
It's honestly hard to take a turn without Maemi charging up twinning, with fueno here as an additional option for asset matchups. I think this deck would be vastly improved by the additional slotting of 1 cezve just to really refine this twinning engine, however.
This deck has a 60% hit rate and that is about as low as I would be willing to go with it, maybe with the exception of losing an additional 2.2% for a cezve. This hit rate really felt like it helped maintain the tempo and pressure of the deck as well as helping defend me against damage threats.
My favourite things about this deck: Mayfly - I never realised how fun mayfly could be, just the feeling of revealing the mayfly to the corp in the early to mid game and letting them know that no server is incontestable is deeply satisfying and helps to keep them from pushing. Finality - My favourite card in this deck, who needs deep dive when you can just touch 6 cards! this card felt like such a good way to close out games 10/10 would finality again!

Mayfly is an inspired choice. I love it!
