[Standard] You've heard of asset spam...

Mancini 128

But what about agenda spam?

Before we continue, let's get one thing straight:

This deck is bad.

If you're into such minor things as "winning", go play AU or something. But if you're a jank-loving masochist like me, keep reading for one of the funniest decks to grace Jnet.

The game plan of this deck is quite simple: spam agendas. BANGUN's ability makes stealing agendas quite taxing, especially since they're mostly 1-pointers. A viable first turn is Petty Cash, install False Lead, install Eminent Domain, pass turn. Sure, the runner might steal both, but stealing 2 agendas then clearing the tags takes up an entire turn. Spam some assets while you're at it to get money. The runner should always be poor and barefoot because of how stupidly expensive it is for them to steal even a single agenda. Sometimes the runner literally has to let you score since they don't have enough cards and/or credits to steal every agenda you installed (side note: if you have multiple agendas, install them all). If they opt to overextend themselves stealing your shit just blow up their house.

Let's go over some card choices:

  • Mitosis: Normally, the downfall of spamming out multiple agendas is that you can only score one the next turn. That gives the runner an entire turn to fill up the grip and amass enough credits to safely steal the other one. Mitosis solves this problem by allowing you to score both of the agendas you put out. It also combos nicely with the next card,
  • NAPD Cordon: Agendas already cost a pretty penny to steal because of BANGUN. This makes them cost even more, sapping a minimum of 4 additional credits per steal, 8 if you used Mitosis. Even if the runner can afford to steal whatever pidley agendas you put out, they're going to be incredibly poor, which leads us to our next card,
  • Measured Response: You know what this card does. Since you're flashing your agendas in the runner's face like a pervert at Central Park, you'll get to threat 4 fairly quickly.

You'll notice the ice suite is quite light. That's because ice sucks. Between Bankhar, Physarum Entangler, Crew Charm, Botulus, and other miscellaneous runner bullshit, ice ain't what it used to be. Try to use a scored Eminent Domain to get a Biawak on R&D. Sometimes, it's worth handing a Slash and Burn Agriculture to the runner so you can cheat out a Biawak during the early game.

One final note before I end this writeup: since you're always installing agendas face up, the runner sometimes won't bother running your face down cards since they assume that they're assets. Thus, you can sometimes close out games by hiding an agenda among your face downs. It's stupid, but it sometimes catches the runner off guard.

This deck loses hard to Esâ, but there's a cool counter called naming your Jnet games "no esa". No matter what corp I'm playing I always insta-concede vs Esa simply because it's not fun to play against. Skill issue? Sure, fuck you.

I love you, and I love this deck.

@Capeudinho aw, thanks! This deck will make both you and your opponent question the meaning of life.

running into this on jnet was great! have you tried The Powers That Be?

3 Pivot seems overkill :D

Also, how are you even generating money?!

I love the deck, it's so extreme :D

@jan tuno I used to run 2x TPTB and a third Bladderwort but I replaced them with a second Mitosis for consistency. I wasn’t getting enough value out of TPTB to justify spending precious influence on it.

@Krams The Pivots are actually one of the most important parts of the deck. Even using it to fetch a Mitosis is valuable. It makes the deck a lot faster. As for money, spam Anthills, Bladderworts and Wall to Walls until the runner stops trashing them.

leveraging all the click pressure from running agendas and refilling cards to jam out unprotected anthills is visionary hell yeah

how have you felt in games where you don't hit the napd cordons?

@lop Games where I don't hit the NAPD Cordons are referred to as "losses." Honestly, I was surprised by how often the Anthills survived. I initially added Anthill to the deck out of curiosity since I never used it before, but it puts in a surprising amount of work.

There is no such thing as a bad deck, only cowardly decks qualify as bad decks. And this pile of cards is no cowardly deck.

There is truth to the statement that the Runner will careen to 4 threat in no time at all. An opportunity to power up the cool cards extra early.

A brave new world indeed.
