This is Icecreamcollege's list from Megacity with a pinhole swapped for an Azimat and an extra Paladin. I've become a big fan of their Hosh lists recently, they're smooth to play while being accompanied by in-depth writeups. Anyone who puts jnet replays in their decklist writeups deserves a gold star.
In hindsight, the pinhole would have been slightly better, but I absolutely played matches where I wish I drew the Azimat earlier. The extra paladin is also probably unnecessary, though I do find it makes the deck substantially more forgiving to pilot at a slight loss in efficiency.
This deck went 3-1 in the event, only dropping a game to @Paillu's Ob in the top cut. If you dig through the stream, you can see this game is lost due to piloting error rather than deck construction, as I didn't respect the telegraphed Biawak faceplant as well as grasp how reliant that deck is on Phat (playing with open decklists is clearly an acquired skill).
On the corp side I played Jai's Nuvem, which put up dominant performances throughout the event, eventually going 4-1 and only dropping a top cut game due to ice-flooding. In a world where every runner can quickly build some flavour of doomrig, rushing at lightning-speed backed up by Measured Response posturing is a very powerful strategy.
This was my first standard top cut, and as a relatively newer player (about 1.5 years of active play) it was a truly incredible experience to put up a fight in the top cut against veterans like @ManInTheMoon and @GhostMeat, who I would watch with awe from the lower tables at my local events not too long ago.
Shoutouts to the Vancouver veterans for patiently coaching me through matchups multiple times, especially @Hams, @Solomir, and @Aruzan. Also huge props to the organizers for running the best event I've been to so far. Lastly, I'll always be thankful to have a partner who is so unconditionally supportive of this niche hobby, gently egging me on even when I pull back from it.
