Pre-rotation decklist |
I took this deck to an eight player tournament last night and it went unbeaten. Before I go further, I must say this deck was inspired by Kiv's (that's his YouTube name - not sure who he is on NRDB) Biotech deck. I swapped out his Grail ICE suite and a few other pieces with things I'm more comfortable with but he was the inspiration for me making this deck.
The idea is to always choose the Greenhouse flip side and to score a Nisei as quickly as you can. Behind one (for Anarch) or two (for criminal and Shaper) cheap etr ICE on second turn - Chimera is always good if available. Then next turn score it out with your ability. If you think you can score through click advancing, that is best but the main thing is to get that first Nisei token. Another idea is to Biotic Labor, install it and then flip your ID to score it (which can be done for only four credits).
Once you have the Nisei token your goal is to establish your remote which will consist of an ICE or two that could help keep the runner out, an Excalibur and a Caprice. If you are up against pre-paid kate, put Susanoo-No-Mikoto in there too so they cannot tackle that and Excalibur. Once the remote is up, you should be right to score your next Nisei either through drawing it or through Fast Track. Even if it is obvious you have put an advanced agenda in your remote, they should not be able to get in between Excalibur, Caprice and your Nisei token (if they win the Caprice Psi game). Ideally after the two Niseis are scored you then score a Future Perfect for the win but it only played out like that once last night.
The only time I struggled for credits last night was when I got siphoned twice in the one turn. But I was able to take three credits next turn, then Celebrity Gift up to 10 (fortunately I had no agendas in hand). So I didn't find econ to be an issue. 15 of your ICE is three or less to rez. If anything I probably have too much econ.
Crisium is obviously for HQ to negate Siphons if you suspect them. Or for R&D if you suspect Keyhole or Medium. I didn't get to play it last night but that is what it is there for.
Crick is great over Archives to get back your Caprice/Crisium/Jackson. There aren't too many things to get back but they don't know that if you have a card or two face down.
A change I am considering making is to include a Cyberdex Virus Suite. This would be to install in your remote to ensure they cannot parasite/sucker your Excalibur in a turn you are trying to score.
Including last night I have only played about 10 games with this deck (and probably won eight of them) so I doubt it is perfect but I am interested in getting people's feedback where they think they can see holes in the deck and I can improve it. I look forward to constructive criticism.
