Glacier that doesn't care v2.86

This is a glacier deck. Pure and simple. It doesn't care about clicking for credits. In fact, a good many turns will be install and gain 2s. The point is to make every credit count as much as possible. And also to not get unlucky. The reason I built this is because I am always getting agenda flooded, or getting clumps of agendas in whatever part of the deck the runner will hit with their only multi-access card. So I made a deck that will have a hard time just giving the 'entire' game away.

A good starting hand is one with no agendas. An acceptable hand has only 1 with a good early setup of ice and/or money. The runner owns the early game, there is no way to stop this. Depending on the ice you draw, you can at least make them pay something to get through.

Ice suite and placement- The idea is to cost them as much as possible, and get them the least for each run. For this purpose I have varied the strengths of ice as much as possible without sacrificing the power of the ice to plan only for atman.

Vicktor 1- the reason for him over enigma is simple, both subroutines matter. Especially on the last click. It comes in over Datapike because it is cheaper and Str 3. the Strength is important. Not for Yog, but for Refractor.

Ichi 2- the numbers matter less than the nastiness increase from being a 2.0 bioroid.

Heimdall- Heimdall is all. Heimdall is life. While Eli is a nice to have early if you get him, slap him on a server that doesn't need to be free, but isn't important, like HQ or archives. 2x Heimdall 2s can lock down a scoring remote on their own. As long as Heimdall 1 has someone with him, he does his job.

Wotan and Janus- These are a one of because they cost too much to have more. They are immune to Knight without tampering and are going to cause a lot of pain for the runner, especially if you can get them on the same important server.

Try getting Inazuma in fron of a heimdall 2, or at least an Ichi 2. Whatever you put it in front of should hurt. Depending on their breaker suite (knights especially) an Inazuma -> Inazuma -> Ichi 1/etr ice, and anything behind it, can be a great and taxing r&d. I also find that most people forget that you only ever have to break a single subroutine on Inazuma, as you can either leave or keep going.

Other things to install-

Eve- It takes a lot longer to pay off than adonis, but you gain more and most players will not sacrifice the tempo to trash it without imp, unless they are already rich. It is alright to put off rezzing it if doing so will keep you from following up on another plan of action. Drop this behind the beginnings of your scoring remote for protection if you need to protect it, which you should unless you have a more immediate plan.

Crisium- it is a good card and halts eater/hole which will hurt if you can't get a defense going. It also contains it's normal utility.

Caprice- sometimes, the runner has the money to beat your server and ash. Then you need a chance to stop them. She gives you that. With interns, you can get her back.

Will-o-the-wisp- go find that breaker again. I am sure you can afford it after that run.

Cerebral- is that a 5/3 in that lonely server? If they see one early, you might be able to bluff out an agenda. Or bluff out 2 brain dmg by bluffing out an agenda while bluffing out some brain dmg.

Melange- even one turn of this is enough to almost pay for any piece of ice. 2 definitely is. Put this in your scoring remote, just running through one of the nasties gets you more money by forcing them to drain themselves or let you have all of the econ.

Reversed Accounts- run through my remote and use all of your money to get this instead of an agenda. Or leave it there and lose all of your money because I said so. Seriously, this card is such a boon for glacier decks of all kinds.

The agenda suite is a snowball effect. Prireq gives you expensive ice, the fragments all help you out. Especially Eden. Project Wotan is there because it is more useful than Executive Retreat. Chronos protocol can be bluffed out as an asset. It also can cripple certain decks if it can land at a decent time. Mostly I didn't feel like putting in 2 pointers when You need 3 points anyway. Because if they were 2 pointers, they would be NAPD. I would rather have abilities that benefit me.

To be honest I am surprised by the overall consistancy of the deck. I have often ended my games on 6 points when I lose. I generally lose because 7 of the 8 agendas are in the top 25 cards of my deck, and that is without any jackson shufflings. The worst matchup, by FAR, is a Quetzal who opens with E3 in their hand. Other than that, you can generally outlast most aggro decks and anything that goes completely broke against you will stay that way for a while. While most of the ice costs 8 and more, the cost to the runner is greater, on average, on only the second run. It can cost FAR more if they cannot break the subroutines for some reason. Just do what glacier does best. Play a card and click for credits. Place your ice around what you think their breaker suit is if you can. Otherwise, just make the nastiest servers you have the tools for.
