Surveyor Mti (MWL 2.2 Compliant)

This has been working acceptably well for my purposes and I figure is worth posting as I hope everyone is familiar with the Mti matchup for Magnum Opus. This deck is not at all surprising for those who have examined the meta over the last month, but I'd like to discuss my reasoning behind my choices present. I must note that this is heavily non-optimized and isn't fully considerate of what the larger Worlds meta will look like. If you want the Mti list that will win Worlds ask a smarter player than me.

If you want to play Surveyor, you need to forfeit Obokata and GFI, which leaves you with TFP and SSL as the acceptable options. While SSL is a great agenda and economy can be tight if you make play errors, TFP is much better, as it all agendas are very hard to steal from a Mti remote endgame, and its protective ability on centrals is absolutely incredible. I wonder how many current Netrunner players were around when 3 TFP was the standard in Jinteki glacier, as it can be incredibly oppressive when you are good at psi games and Film Critic isn't prevalent (spoilers: it won't be anywhere at the top of MO). This agenda spread isn't unicorn-worthy but it's still great and is enhanced by the state of the meta.

I have elected to include 3 of both DNA Tracker (good everywhere) and Anansi (really good on centrals) to overwhelm D4 and force usage of the inefficient conspiracy breakers/Hayley's breaker suite. You do have to be careful about Na'Not'K if you want News Hound to be good. I am extremely weighted towards sentries as they are very inefficient to break and for some reason a bunch of them end the run these days. Envelope is here as the only acceptable barrier that forces interaction in a TTW scenario (we mostly just want a forced Paperclip install). Gatekeeper could be Enigma and then you can fit in an Ash somewhere but whatever it's an amazing card and I was previously testing a Palana version with 3 of them that was pretty great.

If you don't want to play Surveyor I would suggest examining something very similar to this possibly in Palana, adding Obokata or GFI, going to one TFP, and adjusting ice/upgrades based on that decision. (Tollbooth, IP Block, Ash, Code Replicator, etc). I've seen Mumbad City Grid used to great effect, which is very cool and worth trying but my recent promotion at work has kept me from playing too much. Overall I think Jinteki glacier i is extremely safe even as an obviously good corp for this meta, and Mti is strong enough to use over Palana even in a meta with heavy Estrike thanks to its ability which can heavily punish Shaper and how good its ice is against Anarch.

As before, feel free to contact me on Slack if you have questions or want to discuss elements of the Worlds meta. Tournaments are most fun when people like what they're playing so hopefully this list helps you at all.
