Clickglass

I was a huge fan of the Mushin No Shin + Off the Grid + Crisium Grid combo in Blue Sun where the runner had no chance of accessing the remote. So, I decided to make something similar in HB.

The objective is to create a remote three ICE deep and installing upgrades that tax the runner's clicks(!)

Impossible? Not really.

Strongbox's major problem was the runner having enough clicks to run the server again. But add Mason Bellamy and this garbage of a card makes the agenda in the remote completely secure. With a Breaker Bay Grid, your impenetrable server of cheap gear check ICE can be rezzed for 0-3 credits.

This is essentially a cross between a combo/glacier deck so I thought CI would be the perfect ID to execute this. It could also take advantage of the CI hand size to set up the combo pieces in one turn.

Ultraviolet Clearance is CI BS at it's best. It doesn't have a trash cost and the click compression is insane. Bryan Stinson just makes this card orgasmic. Oh, did I also mention that it's not a terminal?

Shipment from Mirrormorph is another card that surprisingly works here. The combo turn usually looks like this:

Click 1: SfM for BBG + MB + Strongbox Click 2: Install agenda Click 3: advance agenda in front of their face because there's no way in hell they can get in.

Disclaimer:

Actually, I almost always end up scoring the Global Food Initiative first. Knowing you only need two more agendas to win the game just puts a lot of pressure on the runner.

Since I wasn't using the money asides from advancing agendas, I included one copy of Chiyashi to discourage central runs. It's costly, but it can win a stray game or two due to net damage and AI hate.

Enhanced Login Protocol is for any Employee Strike shenanigans and acts as a buffer for Beth Kilrain-Chang and to some extent, cards that allow you to bypass ICE.

One Biotic Labor to close the game.

Friends in High Places needs no explanation. Really puzzling how this card avoided the MWL radar.

Hate and Corp counters:

I found that Criminal is in the best position to counter this deck. The combination of Political Operative and the new bypass breakers will give you nightmares. Best to bait the runner into running before repeating the combo.

Parasite will always be a pain for cheap ICE. Use Self-Adapting Code Wall to play around it.

Multi-HQ access can prove to be tricky. Chiyashi should almost always be in this central if that's the case.

Overall, I was pretty pleased and had a lot of fun with the deck. I was surprised how a lot of runners are more timid to run when faced with a three ICE server with three upgrades. And what I really love about this build is unlike other CI builds, it doesn't take your entire deck to set up the "combo server." Yes, It's risky since you are giving some time for the runner to respond. But I personally think it forces the corp to not solely depend on the ID, and as a pleasant consequence, it opens up new lines of play. Also, nobody expects CI to be glacier.

Until now, that is...
