Good Morning Haas (5th place Oslo Regional)

Kamalisk 437

The main task of the deck is to get a super server with Ash, Awakening Center and then put agendas or ideally Director Haas in it.

If you have Director Haas then you get an extra click a turn. Can use this to score agendas out of hand, or to simply set yourself up better.

If you can score the single Gila early, with Haas you can get 6 credits every turn.

Awakening center is really good at protecting Haas, and you can usually rez stuff on it, even after an account siphon.

Lots of asset economy, best used as protection from account siphon, together with Encryption Protocol, often means it will cost the runner all their money, or give you a drip econ. Also makes Haas cost more to steal.

If the runner does manage to get Director Haas, then it usually opens a scoring window to score agendas normally afterwards, especially NAPD.

It can be a bit random if you get a bad start, ideally you want 3-5 cost ice in the early game, and the big ice for awakening center, but you can often end up with big ice early on. Knowing when to mulligan can be key.

Some interesting points about this deck, Inazuma can be used as the inner most ice in worst case, as you can install awakening later and have it work on the bioroid ice there. Guard + Awakening center is a pretty good early game set up (especially vs criminals). If you can overscore a vitrivirus, then ABT is less of a crapshoot, but still ABT is usually worth risking early game. (do some math)

Did pretty well on the day, came out as joint top seed in the swiss, but failed to do well in the double elim rounds.

Have since made newer versions of this deck, and took out some of the bigger ice, to help even out the start. Also keep wanting to put jackson howard back in, but feel like I get more econ out of Akitaro.

I feel you really need Jacksons in here because of ABT and Awakening Center. You can't guarantee counters on Vitruvius and you don't have Archived Memories nor Reclamation Orders. You could probably cut an Akitaro and free up two inf for 2 Jacksons. Not sure what to cut to free up another slot though for the second Jackson.

I thought that too. Tried just switching the Akitaro for Jacksons. The main problem is, I feel like I can't reduce the amount of ICE.

I might try dropping one Akitaro and one Awakening Center, then putting in two jacksons. I find that if I don't get an early awakening center behind 1 ICE, I don't get enough credits to threaten scoring or starting setting up Director Haas.

I ran a similar NEXT deck featuring Director Haas for scoring 3 pts from the hand. It was pretty solid.

I actually found this deck because I searched Awakening Center, and I love your use of it. May bring it to my group this week.

And as with all Netrunners, I can't help but give my two cents. Have you considered RSVP? It works wonders with Ash, Haas, and NAPD and literally forces a decoder. That's what I ran in mine, and it was easily the most fun part of the deck, having people run into a Haas or Ash without the ability to spend credits.

I havent considered RSVP, maybe I will give it a try instead of the Jinteki cards. The main reason for awakening center is that NEXT wants to run a lot of ice, and this makes the extra ice you have useful as throw away ice on your awakening centers.
