Pre-rotation decklist |
There has been a little buzz lately about Exchange of Information (EoI) decks out there. I played it in my regional top 8 deck which was an NEH variant of @tmoiynmwg 's Info Refinery. I was able to land it a game or 2, and it had a huge impact. Once I got to top 8 i realized some challenges I had with the deck, and rebuilt it into this. It is a complete upgrade and wish I had played this instead.
The biggest problem I was having was runners could sit back and build money, or play imp and just control the entire game. Scorch is a nice option, but is easy to play around if the runner knows I am playing it. Bottom line, it was just not aggressive enough. So when in doubt, ADD FASTROBIOTICS!!
Not only does adding Biotic and Astro give me another winning condition, it gives me extra clicks to land EoI, Closed Accounts, Big Brother, etc. If can can rush an Astro without using Biotic, then the counter serves as more clicks for me to to torture the runner with. Additionally more runners will be playing the New Angeles City Hall / Film Critic combo, and what can you do if you are unable to land tags? Always have a backup plan!
Vanity Project is obviously EoI bait, and more often than not it's not going to hurt you. Covering 8 points in 2 agendas is great for deck slots, and swapping a 1pter for 4pter is just filthy. Especially if its 15 mins, as next turn they wont even have that in there score area.
News Team pulls its weight big time in this deck. having the runner lose points often buys you time to get your combos set up before the runner wins the game. You can install them in remotes to turn on NEH ability and bait runs behind a Tollbooth. It's nice to be able to play a little remote guessing game with the runner to further confuse and slow them down.
Snare! can help stick a tag, bait runners, and even occasionally flatline. It can also make the runner think kill deck and put on the breaks, which just further strengthens FA approach.
I think a deceptive high value card in this deck is Marked Accounts. It activates NEH ability, and most often the runner doesn't trash it and I make a ton of money on them, if they do trash it it will turn on SEA Source, or at worst cost them money and a click.
Don't play this deck expecting to make too many friends on the other side of the table. EoI can be extremely unfair, and most runners are not tech'd to completely avoid tags. None the less, this is an improved version of a regional T8 tier deck, and it more than carries its weight.
Enjoy.

While I also thought Vanity + EOI in NBN would potentially be pretty sweet, wouldn't you think swapping them to foods (and finding one slot for another Beale, I guess?) would make the deck lose less to bad random accesses? I can also imagine Turntable being less mean. |

The whole current meta is not about making friends:( decks are becoming more and more toxic. I'm frustrating with this trend. |

The deck is durrty. I might find a room for another cyberdex though and possibly a subliminal to encourage running for the SEA Source. |
I am glad a respected and good player posted a EOI Vanity list. I was thinking of brewing one but wasn't sure if I was getting too greedy. I think I'll try this list even before Calim's SYNC EOI, thanks Greg
