One Percent RP (1st, NZ Nationals 2015)

Fjord 1799

Richer than most, disliked by many. The stabilizing ability of this deck is really quite incredible. Credits usually determine when your scoring remote is online. From there a Pup is enough for HQ while you run a pipeline from R&D to the scoring server.

4-1 in Swiss, 3-0 in Elimination

Swapped out one Caprice for a Cyberdex Virus Suite from my 7-0 Regionals version. Don't tell my opponents but a CVS does a pretty good Caprice impression. Also swapped Priority Req out for a Hades Shard. Scored the Hades Shard a few times but never shuffled or saved an agenda, all it did was demoralize the opponent.

Commentated raw footage of the tournament available at the ANRNZ youtube channel. I'll update this with game links if you check back later.:

If I may pick your brain a bit: What are your thoughts on the boot camp over dbs? Was architect better than another Ichi? Was subliminal better than an interns?

Don't even try to credit denial the deck with 14 eco cards to play.
So... its every third card corp draws...

Surprised not to see team sponsorship in here. I thought it would be the new hotness in RP. Any thoughts about that?

@desertfox42 DBS is very solid but I'd describe it as more of a luxury. What I mean is that it's a reasonable resource commitment that doesn't go towards your remote. If the runner has a great start (or they're Whizzard) they'll trash it and you'll still be in an awkward position. Executive Bootcamp on the otherhand is great for those weaker starts. Primarily it's a Special Order for Jackson but it can boost you a few credits early or get that first Sundew online. It can trash on demand to enable Crick and will counter Valencia, Vamp and DDoS. Because it makes runners suspicious they'll obediently trash it if you let them which can be just what you need to slow them down.

Architect didn't live up to the cost and influence this time. Mimic or Faust were out pretty quickly against me. Think I only fired it once and it's a bit expensive for a 2 credit tax. Ichi didn't catch anyone too badly either although it was solidly taxing. Since Batty usually goes into the remote and Ichi won't be there alone, when they meet up it's often too intimidating a server for the runner to even attempt. On the topic of ice, Crick was my MVP, would run a fourth if I could.

Subliminal was great. If it comes back once it's Green Level Clearance, twice and it's a Hedge Fund. If you watch my games I think I averaged 5 or 6 times? It also makes it easy to Celebrity Gift.

@Linger Hey Egor, yeah I think you might be right it's difficult to contest the economy. I'm happy to devote resources to fighting over the remote, no agendas leaking over there. Your Whizzard definitely did more damage than any other runner but couldn't hold it back forever. I'll have to watch that game again, it was a good one :)

@mcpba The most difficult thing is stabilizing and scoring that first agenda, Team Sponsorship wouldn't help in that respect. Triple Crick keeps my archives solidly in play as well. I can see it working in that new SanSan RP with a different agenda suite though.
