Swift Deep Dive Lat (2nd @ Belgian Nats) 6-1

I have been playing Swift Deep Dive Lat for about a year, when it rotated to standard, I started learning the format just so I could keep playing it. With the addition of Bahia Bands and optimizing the deck with clot and a DJ, the deck is stronger than ever!

Adding DJ Fenris was the best decision ever, when you find it early you can pick Sable for huge tempo, when you find it later you pick Steve for huge value. The program lineup makes it, so echelon just hits 6 strength, breaking everything with ease. With clot and how the deck plays, it almost auto wins against outfit or fast advance ob.

A couple of tips:

Don't be afraid to overdraw and discard some Deep Dives early, you can get them back with Steve later when needed. If the corp isn't rushing things, you play it slow, shaper will do shaper things and stock up on credits like its nothing. My run:

In Belgium nats I went undefeated with Lat in Swiss, winning against A Teia, Reality +, PD, The Outfit and Asa. In the top cut, round 1 I won with corp, round 2 I won with Lat against asset Ob, round 3 I won with corp. My only loss with Lat was in the final against Asa. I found a luminal fast with a lucky R&D access. I went for an early deep dive with only 1 access, saw nothing. In a bit of a rage I did it again, only seeing an Ikawah wich I couldn't steal. When I think back about it the first Deep Dive was fine, but the second was a bad play, even if that one hits and brought me to 4 points I couldn't have closed the game out. The corp scored, a bit sneaky, behind a drafter with a slap on it, a good bluff and later installed a second ice on that remote locking me out. The game ended in like 6-7 turns. I ended up losing both games in the final, finishing second place.

Disappointment aside, the event was amazing. A huge thx to the organizers and players!
