A regular expression is a short string of letters, numbers, and symbols that represents a pattern. Anything that matches that pattern a computer can return to you. It can find everything that begins with the letter A, or something as complicated as a specific pattern of letters and numbers surrounded by specific HTML tags. The "Find all of the bold text on this HTML" pattern is just: Find: "<strong>.+</strong>".
Running servers isn't all that different. Your rig is your regular expression and if the server matches you're in. Getting in depends on a few things, breakers and money. And this is all simple stuff. So, that's all this deck does at the heart of itself. It has a lot of economy, it leverages itself into a voicepad end game, and it has a few ways to cheat through servers.
This deck is not meant to be surprising, its meant to be difficult to deal with. Enter fester. CVS has been pretty rough on Red decks. But, the option to clear virus counters becomes less palatable when it costs 4 credits to do so. Suckers are a little bit more useful because of that and a little more reliable. Parasite, as well. And medium is a huge head ache.
The rest is just draw and money. Because all you need to do is cheat your way in and access cards. Inject + Clone chip makes rig construction on the fly easier. Levy because you will draw the whole deck. And that's it. There's just enough blackmail pressure to really annoy the right decks.

I would rather do traditional casts, hotel (or pancakes), liberated, career fair. You can play peddler better that way too. Putting Levy in for a long game is interesting. I tried Trope in L4J to give me more parasites but I rarely needed it. Levy might be better since you can spare the inf. Can you slot an SMC maybe? Or are blackmails enough to stop rushing? |

Trope is an interesting thought, I'll consider it.

Remind me of my own PPVP Anarch that I made when O&C just came out (good times). That being said, I have just a few questions: 1) Why Valencia over someone like Whizzard or even Reina? Personal choice or simply for blackmail? 2) Did you consider events like Wanton Destruction, Day Job, Immolation Script and Cutlery, and would they have a place in this deck? 3) Would Turntable or Vigil (free draw ^.^) work here, or is the MU from grimoire too important? 4)With a full set of clone chips, what are your thoughts on 2 Cuj0 over mimic? You have the money and they can deal with Assassin and other sentries rather well. 5) Why did Imp not make the cut? 6) On a scale of 1 to marshmallows, why are you so awesome? Sorry about the wall of text, and thanks for taking the time to answer these. It's nice to see a different type of anrach now and then. |

1) I like valencia because of the recurring credit for anything during a run. Its personal choice, to an extant, as I don't think this sort of economy is restricted to Val. But, Blackmail is good. 2) Of those events, Day Job is the only one I'd consider and its my play style. Wanton sucks a lot of clicks to require yet another run the following turn. I've not played immolation script, it probably deserves more of my attention. And the cutlery, while close to my heart and very good with voicepad, are hard to leverage. This deck was on parasite hard enough I felt deja vu had more value than any singular cutlery piece. 3) The extra mu from Grimoire is good, but the extra virus token lends you a lot of tempo. I think its the virus token you play for. Turn table and vigil are both excellent cards and there are legitimate reasons for playing them instead; Again, I'm playing viruses a bit harder than most recent decks do, so grimoire makes sense. 4) That Cuj.0 just doesn't reach the efficiency levels that mimic does. I don't have a problem with it; but mimic is too good. Clone chip here is often for parasite or injected programs. 5) Because I always underate Imp when I build decks. For anything beyond a GNK you probably need to look closer at the card. In this case, though, I think it is worth trying to figure out what its better than. You can trash most things you need to with this economy, so if you're playing imp I assume you're after trashing other things and I think I'd rather have a 2nd medium before I start trying to lock out cards I don't want to see in game. Imp is good, play em if you got em. 7) I'm not even sure how to answer that. I'm just guy. |

does fester trigger off of cyber trial and suite? I thought it was just the corp action. |
I think that fester is a brilliant idea. Why did you go for a ppvp shell instead of a desperado shell? Sucker spamming on archives becomes a real possibility with some festers on the board
