Meat and Potatoes Netrunner
Remember the early days of stumbling into pups and friendly bioroids on your deep trips into the net? The experimental college days full of stim and work where you could get it, all so you could afford the next upgrade to your rig? The days before you made that Faustian bargain with the devil?
I'm here to tell you that those days don't have to be restricted to just memory anymore. The devil's influence on the NAPD is strong, but he doesn't own you. Once more you can laugh at swordsmen and wraparounds. It's time to pull the old rig out of the closet, blow the dust off and get into those servers!
I recently audibled to the ice destruction whizzard build for a store champs at gigabytes in Marietta, GA. While I hadn't had a lot of play with it prior, I felt like I just couldn't get going. At any given point I would be missing some part of my engine. I could be drawing a lot of cards without Faust, manually drawing cards with Faust, or just plain losing clicks to wyldside for to long.
Card Choices Economy Queen's gambit: I view this as an influence free lucky for an added touch of burst economy. In my meta there doesn't seem to be a shortage of safe targets.
Sure gamble: No need to explain here
Daily casts: Once the cast money starts coming in, it gives a lot of ability to apply continued pressure.
Kati Jones: This deck really needs a long-term sustainable income and Kati is the best influence free way. As always, stay mindful of tags and avoid that last click snare encounter. Also, make sure archangel is on your radar whenever you're loading her up.
Stimhack: this is really the bread and butter of the deck. It allows big turns when the Corp thought they had a window. Between Street peddler, clone chips, and SMC there shouldn't be any shortage of ways to spend the money getting your rig online.
Liberated Accounts: I think this card is a big economy gain, but it just as much of a tempo hit. I fit one in over the third Kati because it temporarily fills the same roll very well.
The Breakers
Corroder and mimic need no explanation.
Yog.0 has a lot of play to it, especially when an ice Carver or datasucker is leveling the playing field.
Femme fatale is for pesky ice like lotus field and tollbooths. I wasn't completely sold on it as an answer for lotus field, but she performed admirably the hole tournament and more than earned the slot.
Other mentionables
Wanton destruction: this is the decks only true HQ pressure card, but it serves another function. I dislike passive answer cards like plascrete carapace and wanton can help to break up the plan of a hostile corporation.
Memstrips: I included this card to avoid installing one card over another in a long game. Though, during the tournament, I never played it and only once didn't install a parasite due to memory limitations.
At the end of four Swiss rounds and (top four cut) three elimination rounds, this deck was undefeated, with one timed win. I played against palana glacier twice, two NEH, and Cerebral imaging. Alongside a pretty stock HB glacier list, I finished the day on a 10-1 record.

grats on the win but i don't see any reason to play this over dumblefork. with only 1 parasite this list is incredibly weaker versus glacier and your yellow matchup with dumblefork is already incredible, clot is not needed. not slamming you personally, grats on your win, always happy to see whizz on top |

Clot came in handy against NEH, disrupting the scoring window on an astro that made me broke and then being able to follow it up with a stimhack SMC. Normally I don't care for clot, but smc and clone chip raise it's power lvl. D4vid is good and was a hard cut, but ultimately I prefer relying on data sucker for bigger ice, or just taking a tag in the case of Gutenberg. In the case of archangel, the one NEH match, I was keeping him broke by trashing asests and making him rez ice. When I saw it off of R&D he couldn't pay and a wanton stripped it from hand. In regards to a bad glacier match up, I'd just like to point out that I played against two palana glacier and won both against a very competent player. Also, I faced the dumblefork whizzard four times and won each game playing my HB glacier. If you like playing Faust whizzard then this isn't the deck for you. If you've played the Faust whizzard and didn't like it, then maybe this is the deck for you. If you want to change some cards for your meta just consider this a solid skeleton to work from. |

This is one bizarre, interesting Whizz deck. I'm all for any Anarch build that doesn't run Faust. Congrats on the win! If I end up playing Anarch again soon, I will probably start here. |

Just played with this deck and really enjoyed it. Faust has always made me nervous because I hate losing cards if I can help it. Just played this against PE and it went well. Thanks for the list! |
Do my eyes deceive me? No Faust?
