Pee.Ass. I Love You (2nd at Accelerated Meta Testing)

DeeR 1917

Hello all! I brought this PE Asset deck to the AMT tournament, where it went 4-1 throughout. With the ban of boat and Drago, I anticipated this being the most aggressive runner meta in a long time (led by TagMe Zahya and Esa decks). As such, I wanted to respond to that aggression with a deck that can consistently punish aggression. On the control side, I anticipated primarily resource control (DooF, Stargate) over wincon control (clot, caldera) or board state control (apoc, hippo). As such, I wanted a deck that could win on low credit totals.

Doomrat published a PE Asset list a few weeks ago that I really enjoyed playing in casual. It is probably the only deck I've ever played as or against that I would describe as un-doofable. I made 4 key changes:

-2 Regenesis +2 House of Knives I don't see any reason to rush a PE game. HoK feels good to score any time, and it means the runner needs to sometimes run unadvanced unrezzed servers (which is generally a mistake).

-1 Warroid Tracker -2 Hokusai +3 Prisec +1 EoTL +1 Snare This is a meta call. I anticipated enough of the meta to be playing TagMe Zahya or Esa, and I figured this turns what I saw as a 30-40% matchup for me into a 75-80%. It also means Prisec becomes tempo positive because the runner has to clear tags. Snare adds a tag, but more importantly, it protects centrals, allowing me to focus more on building the board state.

-2 NASX, -2 Wall To Wall -2 Subliminal +3 Marilyn Campaign When you draw a Marilyn, you didn't draw a card. Think about it. Just, think about it.

Thanks to Snarebears for helping me test before the tournament, Ysengrin and the Null Signal Team for organizing, my lovely opponents for honestly some of my favorite games of netrunner in a long time (both my top cut games came down to very very small decisions which snowballed into massive effects, which was cool), and the netrunner community at large for encouraging my weird obsession with Keeling mill decks.

Oh, and here are replays from the games if you want to see how the deck plays:

Amazing deck and it was fun to watch those PE matchs!

Question : why keep an Hokusai Grid instead of having 2x Snare!?

Congratulation on placing 2nd! Cheers!

2c < 4c. The one snare is more for the fear factor.

I really like the changes. (Well except cutting Regenisis, but that's just a card that I like. I agree HoK is probably correct).

I'd love to hear how you use Keeling in this deck - is it as tech against Tagme decks with huge hand sizes to protect your Obokatas, or just as a "you need to deal with me" distraction for the Runner?
