I've been tooling around with Maw in a few ways when I saw it's potential disruptive nature to the corp's timing and plans. Then I saw @Benjen post a version using Frantic Coding and fell in love. The economy engine of Magnum Opus was able to hang around longer (aka forever) instead of all the Liberated Accounts and Day Jobs I had ran. This deck really needs an econ that doesn't eventually melt away leaving you clicking for credits. You're playing the long game of disruption and that ends when you can't reliably hit servers.
The mini-combo between Salsette Slums and Maw is delicious. Being able to RFG a card AND get a Maw hit at the same time is wonderful. I never once used Femme. Never really felt like it was needed. Any cop that felt like it was a good idea to drop on a server was also a corp that could easily replace that Femme'd ice anyways, so I always took a different course of action that didn't tap me of 9 credits. Sure, Opus makes me rich enough to do it, but often that's a full turns investment better spent elsewhere.
Rebirth was a MVP. Being able to poke centrals and get Maw hits, with the help of Ice Carver making things cheaper with the Bin-Breaker-Suit, eventually made corps ice up to tax me out. Switching to Omar outright won me 3 of the 5 games I won with this deck.
Speaking of ID's, at first I'd questioned why Quetzal as well, but I'm firmly convinced Ben knew what he was doing. There aren't a lot of barriers being played by Corps these days, but the gear-checking ones are most often single sub Vanilla, Resistor, Maru Mati, Ice Wall, etc. Quetzal invalidates all of them as something the corp wants to invest the click, position placement, and time on in the early game. So yet even more, albeit subtle, disruption of the corps plans. I had at least two corp player comment how they hadn't seen Quetzal in a while and weren't sure what they should do with their barriers in the early game.
I'm not going to claim this is a world beater, but in the environment that people fear Sifr and use a lot of 'check' ice, the bin-breakers are great. In the same meta that use a lot of combos out of HQ, disrupting what options the corp has is really really strong.

I've made a similar deck here. I've seen the deck by Benjen as well, and tried it, but I found that mopus is so slow for what this deck tries to do - or at least what I think. I've had the most succes if I hit centrals hard and early with bhagat or trying to lay down utopia and hades shards. In addition to maw, you can use the utopia shard to blow up the corps hand if you see he's got 24/7, Boom, HHN and all that nasty stuff. I do like the salsette slums, which I really want to try out now, haven't spotted that interaction ^^ So how are you using mopus effectively? Are you first setting up with mopus, maw and enough money to pull out a breaker already in the bin? I won't say mopus is bad, but I'm just inexperienced and I found it slow ^^ But I've had some econ problems with my deck aswell, so it's worth checking this out again. |

Which is a direct contradiction to the Slums-CTM and Slums-Hostile Infrastructure ruling. So at this point, I respect the difficult job Jakodrako has to do with the mixed bag of answers and sorting them with past answers, but I'll take the two presidents of 'Trash is replaced by RFG, and is not trashed triggering either CTM or HI'. Thus, Maw would work perfectly fine. Card was accessed, trash cost was played, but a card was not trashed. It was RFGd. Maw's conditions have all been fulfilled. |

Hopefully this gets clarified in the next official FAQ. |

A shard might make its way back in after removing Femme, that's a good call. I'll fiddle around to find the one I want to use, but certainly a good idea there. |

This is just me, but I would keep the femme. it saves me if I lose breakers to Ark Lockdown, get's me into a remote in a pinch, and can completely catch the corp off guard. I am, however, very interested in the Turning Wheel. Seems like hitting hq, Mawing a card, Bhagating a card, and putting a counter on TTW is really strong and adds even more value to the run. |

For future events, I would err on the side of respecting the legitimacy of the UFAQ, but again, I think without the UFAQ I think the Salsette Maw combo makes perfect sense and very fair that this is how you played out this tournament. Sorry to bring a silly rules debate into this deck discussion. The deck is very cool and I am super pleased you knocked out a GNK with Quetzal. |

Thanks for the chat about it all. |
Congrats on your win! Well done. I was very excited to read this today.
Incidentally, Maw does not work with Salsette Slums per the Daedalus Complex UFAQ: ancur.wikia.com
