Sifr is rough. Solution: Play a deck with little ice that can potentially kill the runner on turn 2. This deck is based on Dien's list from Worlds 2016: https://netrunnerdb.com/en/decklist/38983/d1en-s-yellow-railgun-top-16-worlds-2016-. A few changes I made were adding Hatchet Job to take care of awkward situations like NACH. I also switched the ice suite around to have Data Ravens because it still stops people better than most ETR ice. I did find myself clicking for credits a few times which is not what you want to be doing so maybe that was a less than optimal choice. Anyway, it's been written on other deck write ups, but here's the basic combo after scoring a Breaking News.
Click 1: Install Jackson (make sure you don't awkwardly draw combo pieces with NEH)
Click 2: Power Shutdown for entire deck
Pop Jackson for 24/7, Boom, and another card that solves a problem (Sweeps if you need the credits, Boom for double plascrete, Hatchet Job, etc.)
Click 3: Accelerated Diagnostics
What's nice is that you don't pay additional cost with cards played through Accelerated Diagnostics so 24/7 doesn't need to forfeit an agenda, Boom doesn't need to pay an extra click, etc. You can also make your first Jackson pile be Interns (for Jackson), Subliminal (to gain a click) and another card to help combo through hate. This requires 2 ADs, but it's a good option if you need an extra card. Also, if they stop running, Sensie is a great option to bottom agendas and self-mill to combo out without Power Shutdown.
For the tournament, I went 4-0 in Swiss and 1-2 in the cut. In Swiss, I blew up Valencia, Kate, Whizzard, and Maxx. The only dicey game was against Whizzard who I assumed was on regular anarach and was running Account Siphon instead. Luckily, he kept two tags from a last click siphon and I top decked Boom with Sweeps in hand. In the cut, I first faced Kate who got off to a roaring start with 6 points off R&D. I was able to score Breaking News and survive another R&D adventure to pull it out. The two losses were against the same Valencia I beat in Swiss. He was able to find Rebirth in the first game and Kim smashed those combo pieces to bits. The second match, I got rediculously flooded and lost in 4 turns. All in all, a fun, fast deck to pilot that will leave your opponent questioning your combo and eventually conceding that it does actually work.
Congrats on the placing!
