Since this was the last low-stakes event I'd be going to with Flashpoint, I decided to take CTM for a last ride. I wasn't super impressed with the vegan version despite it being more my taste, so I bothered rongydoge the day before for the Bladderwort version he brought to pubrunner (which itself was derived from a Rotom list). I don't have anything especially insightful to say about the card choices (minus 2x Market Forces, which is the Truth), but CTM/HHN has been one of my favorite parts of Netrunner since drilling the Paragon Smoke/CTM matchup for hours between days 1 and 2 of MOpus. It's certainly not done amazing post-Mumbad, and has definitely worn out its welcome, but it's such a satisfying deck to play with (and against once you've acquired the taste).
My other deck was Big Hosh. I had been playing Maw Hosh for a while and hate losing to PE, so I took the best looking tastefully sized list I could find.
Tournament Report
CTM
W vs Alison on Az
We both spend early game building our boards, but I'm able to push out 7 points with SanSan before they're able to start contesting my assets or R+D.
W vs DanB on World Tree Adam
Slow start, but score an ARES and get centrals thoroughly locked down while landing plenty of tags, eventually cleaning his board and sitting back for the BOOM! after bottoming two of three potentially losing Bellonas.
W vs Dan on Esa
Dan runs into my turn 1 three card monte, and unfortunately hits Tomorrow's Headline, letting me land an HHN the following turn. After clearing through that HHN and another, I'm very low on tools, but luck into drawing all my Spin Doctors while bottoming some Bellonas and killing after Dan goes tagme clearing some assets.
W vs Dee on Large Hoshiko
I mulligan into 10 points, but thankfully also an Attitude Adjustment which was quickly followed by a Spin Doctor to avoid bleeding too many points. The critical turn involves installing a Tomorrow's Headline and a SanSan naked, with the tag from the Headline enabling Gaslight for HHN with a Market Forces (the other face up in Archives) to ensure it sticks. The following turn, the rest of my tag punishment is Mawed and trashed, so we dig in for a long game until I can spin back in my BOOMs.
Hoshiko
W vs Conrad on ACME
Snipe the turn one Daily Quest with Pinhole, followed by knocking the other two out of centrals and slowly taking advantage of the flood and low econ. A Hydra rez hurts, but I'm able to Botulus + Hippo it to avoid falling behind and finally find the agendas in HQ
W vs Dee on Sportsmetal
Fairly standard Hosh win from what I can tell of the matchup - get lucky with central accesses and keep up good HQ pressure with Maw following the Audacity score.
W vs Chris on Sportsmetal
We both mulligan, but my Turn 1 Gamble Gamble Maw is much more powerful than his turn 1 Bifurcation score. I'm able to eat two Nightmare Archives without much concern and maintain my lock.
W vs Jeff on Ob
Jeff rushes an early couple of Oaktowns, but loses the remote in doing so, and then gets rolled over by Maw triggers and HQ accesses taking all of his wincons (including 3 or 4 Audacities over the course of the game).
