A Fistful of Value - Won Small GNK, Post-Rotation w/ Bans

Pretty standard Geist list - get rich fast, and win the game slow.

Went undefeated at a small PoRo+Ban GNK, in which I won, so I thought I'd share.

Unlike most Geist lists I'm not running Aumakua, which seems odd, my IP Block is everywhere now, and I really don't like running into tags. Additionally Corps are now putting virus hate back in, and an untimely Cyberdex can really ruin your day.

As for the lack of Freedom through Equality - as much as I like getting free agenda points, it's basically a win-more card. Interdiction on the other hand, actively stops you from losing, negating Helheim Servers, K.P. Lynn and tricksy little Zealous Judges. By itself, it won be a game against a Dedicated Response Team / Snare / Prisec deck that would have otherwise really messed up my day.

People may Dean Lister may be the star of the show, but Maxwell James is not to be trifled with. The ability to casually check HQ, then negate any ICE rez on scoring remotes is massive, especially as sometimes he'll cause them not to rez the ICE at all, giving you obscene amounts of value as you casually hop over Tollbooths, Archers and Fairchilds.

On the Lam may seem like an odd choice, put I prefer it over running Forger or Dorm Computer in this style of runner deck. You don't need the link from Forger often, and they can tend to clog your hand, and Dorm Computer, although fantastic vs Data Ravens, can only be used 4 times, and (most importantly) doesn't trash itself when spent. OnL, however, helps with HHN and other nasty Corp cards, and also combos well with the rest of the deck. Just make sure not to put it on the Off-Campus, as you don't want Best Defence ruining your fun.

Lastly, Shrike is there for 2 reasons. The first is to deal with Tour Guides, Brainstorm, Komainu, which are a problem for a Shiv-based runner. The second is that it gives you a safety net of sorts. As you often are filthy rich, you now don't have to break with Shiv (although it's often a very good idea), helping keep the strength of the rest of your breakers high, and meaning that you can pop Dean Lister on your terms.
