Patchwork MaxX

Home and sick, so untested theory deck time.

Patchwork, MaxX, and Zer0 all seem like a match made in heaven. Start of turn draw 1 from your ID, spend one click gaining a net of 1 card and 1 credit from Zer0, then play a card with Patchwork reducing its cost. That sounds like some nuts amount of value. Some people consider Patchwork and Zer0 a nombo, I say that you are just maximizing the odds of hitting any IHWs or breakers. We are on 3 of the engine pieces so we find them fast and can always spend them on Zer0 or Patchwork activations.

Divide and Conquer seems like an excellent closer for Anarchs alongside TTW and with District 99 you don't have to play more than one. It is so easy to gain counters on District 99 thanks to the PatchMaxX0 engine, which you can use to get your closer without expending SoT. You are also using District 99 to recur D4, which is amazing in this meta, and on Guinea Pig, which is one click for 8 credits with Patchwork.

Indexing has no synergy with anything besides TTW but it's such a good card and I am too sick to think of what this deck wants beyond it.

This is the mild version of the deck I am working on; I also want to experiment with Emptied Mind as a means of rewarding Guinea Pig. Starting with a hand of nothing, triggering Emptied Mind for click 5, then using MaxX means you can always do Zer0 into Patchwork assuming you draw something you want to play, which is exciting. I just don't know how sensible this deck is at this point. Lemme know if you play this deck and what you find, what works, what doesn't, what you want to try.

Oh, no CV because it overlaps in purpose with Divide and Conquer as HQ pressure, and I'm focusing on setup with this build.

What is the point of The Shadow Net? It seems like overkill - you already have D99, SoT and Levy! I know that it gives you an event with zero costs - but how many high cost events do you have that you're going to play with it?

Shadow Net interacts favorably with Gamble, while SoT and District 99 do not. I could be totally off base with its inclusion but I want to try it especially since R&R has a lot of cards that care about the runner stealing a lot of worthless stuff, as well as Fly into EOI. Would not fault at all swapping Shadow Net for Lib #3 or another always-useful card. Tbh I have almost no experience actually playing MaxX so I'm guessing a lot on what the deck wants.

mad dash card #46?

I'm very much not a fan of going above the minimum deck size if I can find a clean version with 45, and this version of this deck has so much messy with it that you have tons of cut and add options. Having said that Mad Dash absolutely should be in the deck and I'm kicking myself for not having thought of it.

What do you use to trash programs other than re-installing on top of existing programs for D99 triggers?

So I’ve tried a different version of this list (Maxwell instead of turning wheel and D4, no divide and conquer), and I’ve found that the combination of Zer0, patchwork and guinea pig puts a lot of pressure on your hand and makes it hard to hold indexing and/or mad dash. Yes you have SoT, but you are forced to hold one for Levy because you can’t keep Levy in hand either.

So I found myself getting click compressed on turns I wanted to index because you often have to play it with SoT. At this stage I can’t tell if this is poor piloting or a problem with the deck, but I’m regrettably going to go down to 1 or 0 Guinea pigs (as much as I love that card) and see how it feels
