Blitz 1.2

Lets play a hacking game where ice is pointless! Thats more or less where we have gotten today. Breakers are so powerful, and runner's economy, that more or less you have choices.

  1. Kill decks.
  2. Horizontal Asset Spam
  3. Never Advance
  4. Rush decks.

So this deck is hell bent for leather. If you haven't won by turn 8 or so - you're not winning.

Ice: With three ice, all your centrals. Temujin is just too strong. With two, cover the more likely threat, and your remote for scoring.

Special offers and Launch campaigns recycle with adblitz. You could add marylyns, pad campaigns if you wanted. I drop the launches behind a Special offer and rez it. I want the runner to run.

Your whole point is to minimize the clicks he has available for finding breakers.
Shapers - you'll probably need two ice, unless he pops an early MO. Kit Inversificator is a tough matchup. Crims - Ken is likely to sport a Inside Job.
Anarchs - most likely to hit on a medium run or an AI.

You have one silver bullet against AI: Turing. You're light on sentries. There's no good ETR sentry, and owl is too positional

Efficiency committee ... works well with the various clearances.

R&D digs are way more efficient than scoring. So if you sit back, afraid to setup a scoring server - they're going to run R&D. Make the runner react to you, as much as possible.

As a side benefit your HQ will often be empty. Defense can be light, except for AS defense.

Why Launch Campaign? Because cheese Whiz is a thing; minimize the use of his free credits and minimize your rez costs, by keeping costs low.

I love the idea. This deck made me reevaluate my own (pretty old and bad) NEXT mass cheap ICE rush deck and see, if I can make it ready for today's card pool.

I somewhat doubt the value of NEXT Gold here, as it is too expensive for your rush plan. I'm trying Architect as sentry gearcheck in my own version. Not ideal (no ETR), but maybe worth a try.
Have you considered Guard? Might be a little expensive, but your economy seems to be pretty stable.
Oh, and I'd definitely run more than 1 AI hate card. You need to rush out behind gearcheck ICE and you wouldn't want the runner to just get one AI out and stomp you. Maybe 2-3 Turings?

@Krams

So, original version had guards, and I was completely underwhelmed.

Here are the changes I've made recently:

+1 Efficiency, +1 Vetruvius, -1 VMI.

VMI does just work in this deck. However, the agenda density was too low, requiring too much drawing. Plus this added a 3/2 for easy score out. Dropping a 3/2 after an Elective upgrade is great.

-1 ad blitz. Amazing card. But rather than lateral asset spam, and infinite recursion - this is focused on rush.

+1 celebrity gift. Mo money. -1 Lateral Growth. While the principle is good - first turn drop a card for scoring... -1 Shipment from Mirror.

+1 paperwall. Cheap ice. And Cutlery protection. Also useful when you're trying to score behind Mother Goddess. (tiny %, but the game is a series of tiny %, no?).

-1 Next Gold: The card has performed very well. +2 Errand Boy.
-2 special offer. All in all, moving away from the Adblitz theme. Just not getting the runner running the ice often enough.

MCA Authority is probably a must include. EBC is pretty solid. But the iteration between those Efficiency counters and the extra costs on Clearances: Priceless.

Regarding AI's. I played with a swordsman, and I've tried with medium defense. But more or less, I think if you are bloating with defense, you're fatally losing the speed to win.

Every loss, I've had the sense was pilot error, I had a chance in the game - so .. I don't know.

Plus AI's are not the most cost effective.

Higher on my priority list to fit in, are Chronos Project and PaperTrail.

Against most decks, Papertrail is just an immediate infusion of 6 cr. And so might be worth a 1 of.

Chronos deals with the other issue: Paperclip et.all that allow fast trashing. I loved how it performed as a two off. YMMV.

Special note:

If you run two special offers, you actually have a pretty good argument for Loki, rather than Next Gold. Choose the special offer ice. No, you won't get any cash, but loki remains typeless.

And early game, trashing a runners whole hand is pretty strong. And if the runner runs you again - you just choose a different ice.

@chrispedersen
Thanks for the elaborate answer.
Your recent changes look good. Maybe I should try your version to see what feels different from my own, so I can take steal some more good ideas :D
