Hammer Smashed Face

conorcarrion 21

My first attempt at an original deck creation. I wanted to play an aggressive deck that looked to immediately start running, find a chink in the corp's armour and exploit it as hard as possible in order to gain a large points advantage early on, while also prevent them from setting up and being as disruptive as possible to their game plan.

I wanted to be able to push hard, so I chose low cost economy cards such as Day Job Dirty Laundry Daily Casts Sure Gamble which together with Patchwork can all be played with just 0-3 credits.

I initially was playing Imp and Hippo in a Maxx shell, but I didn't want the burden of having to reset the deck with levy, and the Edward Kim: Humanity's Hammer trash ability proved not to be trivial. I then added En Passant and Wanton Destruction for maximum card trashing. With all of these trashing abilities, any weakness in R&D or HQ can be repeatedly run in order to trash everything they have.

In order to run aggressively on unrezzed ice without taking a hit, Eater was put in. This also works well with Hippo Indexing and Wanton Destruction as none of them are bothered by Eater's downside.

I hate Black Orchestra. I just find myself paying out of my ass for every access. Whereas Amina is so sexy, 2 credits for 3 subs, 2 credits for 3 strength? Now we're talking. Since this deck is doing Anarch stuff, I had influence to spare, I wanted efficient midrange breakers to take the final agendas in the mid-game before the game goes on too long and out of this deck's reach.

The Turning Wheel is an absurd card, I'm a newish player and only just started using it after printing proxies, this deck abuses it nicely.

This deck was built to play in a certain way, not to be an amazing tournament deck or super competitive. I think it's come out ok and I think if you play semi-competitive casual you'll enjoy it.

Cheers
